I have seen it, brutal kick from Silva. too bad it was illegal. If it was in the ufc he would have won by tko. Okami was DONE.
nah....that wouldnt be legal...its still technically kicking a downed opponent... Okami makes the most sense of the contenders in UFC right now... After Silva beats him, it will be interesting to see if he goes down to fight GSP, or up to fight the winner of Rampage - Forrest I honestly dont think GSP would beat him....I think on the other hand that Rampage or Forrest would just be too big
great kick i think it should be legal the point of the no kicking a down opponent rule is to avoid soccer kicks to the head or stomps to the face when one opponent is standing and the other is down
if you get kicked in the face by a guy thats on his back that you have in guard then you probably deserved it because your an idiot
I see what you are saying. However in my opinion , that rule should be voided if the person who got kicked was in the top position.
Absolutely, but the rules are in place for a reason and Okami fought under the scope of them. Maybe he wasn't protecting himself from the possibility of that kick, because he understood it to be illegal? What Im saying, is that you cannot possibly punish Okami for fighting within the rules and Anderson outside of them.
i agree, but it was an honest mistake (im guessing anyways) perhaps a 5 minute rest period then restart the fight would have been better
