Round by Round: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez

When Marquez hurt Manny at the end of round two, Manny became tentative and Marquez gave him all his confidence back by trading with him. Huge mistake on Marquez´part to be impatient.

Marquez was caught by the same kind of punch against Barrera.

 

Marquez seems to have lost a lot of snap on his punches. I'm surprised how cautiously Pacquiao fought in the last round.

They both try to land the jab. Both missing punches. Pac is intent on landing the left to the body from the outside, most are short. Pac lands 2 good jabs. Pac finaly lands clean to the stomach, JMM grunts and fires back landing glancing hooks. Pac fires left not cleanley...NICE counter right by JMM. Marquez is trying to box.....and when he box he doesn't throw alot waits to counter..but if Manny explodes then Manny wins the round..

 

Hurting Manny was probably a bad thing for Marquez

Manny seems looking to land one big bomb rather than setting anything up. Marquez won that last round clear.

This fight is still in the middle of the ring no one has been on the ropes all night. Snappy right lands by JMM. GOOD right hand by JMM again. Pac isn't looking good right now. Pac lands some good shots. JMM lands AGAIN! JMM is a boxing genius!

Pac just looking to land something big. PAC throws to the body, JMM counters with right. PAC not getting off MArquez lands left hook right hand combo at the bell. MAequez round.

PAc is fighting like a school girl...JMM lands lead hook. Pac lands to the body, JMM returns the favor. JMM strafes him with a good combo. JMM is mixing it up nicely, body head. HEADBUT!...JMM is bleading, accidental, ref says time in.

JMM lands good combo..PAC ATTACKS!!! Marquez fights him off bravely. PAC getting desperate and taking more chances. JMM outfighting PAC landing the cleaner harder blows. MArquez round although it could have gone the other way.
