It was very close. Marquez won more clear rounds than Pacquiao IMO, but there were some really close rounds.

the only reason Pac won is because D-MAN predicted jmm to win.

    Temporary return:

JMM is a hell of a fighter. I respect him, but Manny is and will always be just a bit better than JMM. History will record it this way as well.

Thank you Manny for giving us ANOTHER picture of Juan on his back. :bears:

He probably would have been if the ropes didn't save him after the first knockdown.

    MANNY PAC
    - I think i won the fight...i knew the fihgt would be hard
    - The last fight he jabbed a lot but not tonight
    - The cut really bothered me i could see his right hands
    - Our number one plan in training was the left hook and thats what caused the kd
    - JMM moves fast and he counters good
    - I did my best he was a hard opponent
    - I dont know if I'll move up in weight yet, we'll see

    Juan Marquez
    - It was a headbut, it didnt affect us we thought we won
    - We hurt him 3,4,5 times the fight isnt one round its 12 rounds
    - The people saw who won, I haven't lost anything

It was a very close fight. Marquez paid for his over anxiouness during the third. He should have boxed intelligently instead of trying to get Manny out of there early, it may have been a different fight for him. Manny came back because of that.

Agreed , i thought watching this fight that other then the KD and that quick punch in th 10th that JMM really won the fight by 2 points at least.

Not that the dec was a horrible one just that i feel he outboxed Pac most of the fight. But not a BS dec any way you look at it i guess it depends how u saw the rounds cause FUCK they were close.!

JMM is clearly a better boxer and beat Manny tonight. He countered him silly and made him fight his fight. He landed the cleaner shots. He was clearly superior in his ring generalship and finished strong. Yep, he got jobbed:warning:

That shows how Pac got the dec. If he was giving Pac rounds where JMM beat his ass.

I predict Manny will not give Marquez a rematch because he would rather not get his ass kicked again.

It was a close fight with some hard to score rds.If Marquez won it was by a point or two and the same can be said for those who gave it to Pacquiao.

You guys that are crying robbery are exaggerating big time.

I had it 7 rounds to 5 for Pacquiao and yes I gave the 12th round to Marquez. Overall, I think Pacquiao landed the cleaner and more damaging blows throughout, AND he scored knockdown and badly hurt Marquez in the 10th.

This was not a robbery. Lets try and keep it in perspective.

when someone got schooled no way the fight can be called a close fight. it was a close fight, and the judges had the advantage of seeing it up close. i had pacquiao winning it by 1 point. scoring can always be subjective though, that's why there's three judges close to the ring when it goes to the score card. enough of the schooling bullshit. Manny won by a close decision that's it. it could have gone either way of course, so the judges had the final say.

I'm not going to argue such a close fight, I had it 115-112 for Manny, but there were at least 4 close rounds where I had to think really hard to see who to give it to. For what it's worth I gave round 12 to JMM. In the end it's not worth the bandwidth to call this a robbery. That's just hyperbole.

I give JMM a lot of credit, he's a great fighter, but his accomplishments will fall under Pacquiao once people have 20 or so years to review both of their careers. Pacquiao now holds victories over MAB x2, Erik Morales x2, and JMM. He's defeated the best featherweights of HIS era whether you agree or not, and I think that's HOF material right there. Pacquiao could retire tonight, his legacy is sealed.

ass kicked again? you're kidding me, it was marquez who already tasted the canvas 4 times in only two meetings.  i thought many people saying here no way there'll be knockdown cause pacman is one-dimensional and is not capable of giving a competitive fight to JMM?

They would have to argue that Pac should have been getting rounds were Marquez landed the cleaner effective punches.
