Absolutely, he was squared up and throwing a punch, even a guy like you could push him over if you timed it on accident :dunno:

Of course, catching Marquez squared up and in the middle of transferring from right to left hand was a part of it...

But that's what makes the shot so beautiful.

    Perfect timing.

Here is a picture of Marquez "schooling" the Legend.

"Ok Manny, when you hit the mat put your arms out like this and tuck your chin like the wrestlers do" Marquez should open up a Lucha Libre school.

Those were my original comments to the gif, too.

Relax, dude, I had Marquez winning too.

My point is....it's a great shot regardless. You can recognize that and still have JMM winning.

    Peace.

    lucky shot!

what happened to the manila ice? and the Ray Robinson comparisons since Pacquiao was now such a complete boxer?

after that knockdown he starting lunging in with the left because that is all he could do.

Thanks to that knockdown JMM got his shit together and figured him out imediately.:bears:

As long as we stay on track and don't act like he was hurt or pac can do that on a whim, then it is cool

Jesus....people, just recognize a great shot.

Does it ALL have to be agenda-pushing and baiting and flaming?

    Ridiculous.

did you see Manny's reaction when he got the decision? It reminded me of Shane in the Delahoya rematch. He thought he lost and reacted like he won the lotto.

I bet you reacted like him too crying and hugging your television.

Marquez is 2-0 over your boy :warning:

That's one of Pacman's signature punches. The duck and left cross.

I'm surprised he didn't use that punch that knocked Marquez down more often in the fight,He had a ton of chances.

    .....

If you didn't see the fight I can see why you would think it was just a balance shot. It kinda looks like that on the GIF. However if you did see the fight you would see that when JMM got up he was fucked up and not in good shape. Which is why he had to hold onto the ropes to avoid another KD at the end of the round.

It was an awkward punch, landed at a perfect time while squared up, with all arm and no leverage. Clear as day. Without the gif, you assume it was more, when clearly it wasn't.

Like I said, you didn't see what he looked like when he got up, it wasn't good. JMM was in very bad shape. In fact that KD had him in much worse trouble than ANY Kd's from the first fight. That is the most hurt I have ever seen JMM.

I didn't see it as much as the other people here claiming he should have done that punch more often, in which you remained silent

My only debate on this thread is that you just said that JMM was knocked down on a balance shot and it was nothing to brag about. I don't care about any other subject, what I responded to is the fact that although the GIF isn't really that devastating looking (which I agree with), JMM was fucked up. He got up and was messed up. Hell at the end of the round he was walking to Manny's corner. The last time I checked Roach don;t exactly look like Nacho.
