similar but I gave Pac, 1,3,4,6,9,10,12 with the KD making it 115-112, but a couple of the rounds could've gone either way for both sides.

I've said this in multiple threads, but the 12th was a clear Pacquiao round. He got the best of the exchanges and stunned Marquez in the second minute with a barrage of shots.

The 1st could've gone either way, I thought Manny came out better, using the "kellerman" criteria, which was used for most of the close rounds in my eyes.

 

Glad you fessed up to this Reed. Many people had Marquez winning so I think a third bout should be in order.

I know my final tally was 114-113 for Marquez and I scored it SOMETHING like this:

114-113. With a 10-8 round in the third, that should have been a 10-7 round, in which case I'd have had a draw.

Rounds 1, 5, 7, 9, and 11 were all pretty close rounds.

 

This is how I scored it while watching, I made these notes while on my laptop.

Round 1 - Marquez - Based on effective counter punching.

Round 2 - Marquez - JMM wobbled an off balance Pacquiao.

Round 3 - Pacquiao - 2 points to Pacquiao for dropping JMM. Could've been 10-7 because of JMM using the ropes near the end of the round to stay upright.

Round 4 - Pacquiao - Based on effective aggresion.

Round 5 - Pacquiao - Pacquiao landed the more effective shots, though JMM had his moments.

Round 6 - Marquez - Pacquiao is just too inactive this round.

Round 7 - Marquez - JMM is in a good counter-punching rhythm.

Round 8 - Marquez - The cut bothers Pacquiao and he loses his composure.

Round 9 - Pacquiao - Pacquiao turns the tables and cuts JMM badly. He's going for broke.

Round 10 - Pacquiao - JMM gets rocked badly in this round.

Round 11 - Pacquiao - Pacquiao is more active this round and lands some great shots near the end. You can feel Marquez giving a bit.

Round 12 - Marquez - I could've went either way in this round. Marquez had a good first minute, but the last two minutes were exchanges where I thought Pacquiao got the better of it. I scored it for Marquez anyway.

Pacquiao wins 114-113.

It would be 115-112 if round 12 goes to Pacquiao. I'll have to watch round 12 carefully again to make a final decision. I couldn't find a way to give Marquez the fight even scoring round 12 for him.

I don't have a scorecard handy but i seem to remember Marquez winning the 12th clearly.

 

I thought Pac won for sure. It was close. And I don't have a score-card yet, but the schooling that JMM pulled off in the first fight was certainly not the case in the rematch.

Pac countered JMM's right hand quite a bit in fact with his right hook.

 

I got caught up in the fight and did not keep score. That is how I know a fight is good. I thought it was close either way though.

 

I gave Marquez rounds 1,2,5,6,7,8,11,12.

Pacquiao 3,4,9,10.

115-112 for Marquez.

 

what about rounds 5,6, and 7? :dunno:

 

i thought that one was bordering on 10-8 for Marquez. How anyone can score it for Pacquiao, I will never know. :doh:

 

Why don't you just give Pac 1 thru 12. If JMM didn't win rounds 8 and 12 he didn't win any rounds. They were clearly his best rounds of the fight.

Yeah pac took a complete beating in round 8, that was marquez' best round of the fight, clearly ::

Round 12 was a Pacquiao round, he stunned Marquez multiple times, and landed the much better shots from the second minute-on
