Some great performances by fighters that often go overlooked due to some of thier other wins perhaps, or just get plain overlooked. Some example: Hagler-Sibson: Perhaps Hagler's best overall performance. He really took apart Sibson with class. You'll never see a better southpaw jab than what Hagler displays in this fight. McCallum-Watson: This fight is just beautiful to watch, as McCallum takes apart and destroys Watson like a true master. Taylor-McGirt: Meldrick at his very best, beating the shit outta light bulb head Buddy. The speed, and combinations were just breath taking, esp in the last round where Taylor stops him. Benitez-Duran: One of the most beautiful boxing displays Ive ever seen put on. Benitez was at his TRUE best in this fight. I know many ppl often say this fight was close, but I dont see it. Outta 15 rounds, Duran won 5 at the MOST! I personally think Benitez won 12-3. Nunn-Tate: In this fight, Nunn looked like a combination of Pernell Whitaker & Ray Leonard. How bout some others!

Excellent shout. Watson is/was one of my all time favourites and was arguably better than both Benn and Eubanks but McCallum schooled him completely... I'd also add Collins-Eubanks, Calzaghe-Eubanks and Lewis-Tua
But I thought the term great performance would mean dominated as well? Though Manfredy dropped him, honestly if it wasn't for that cut, Gatti would have probably stopped him, he was starting really take over... So this fight is totally thrown out the window.
He looked pretty good against Ivan Robinson. Not sure how significnat it was, though he was coming off the Gatti wins.
How come? Ricky Hatton's signature, 'great' performance was against Tszyu. That was no domination. Joe Calzaghe's 'great' performance, alongside Lacy (who he did dominate) was Kessler, and that was no domination either. Nigel Benn's performance to beat G-Man was 'great', but he was behind on all cards I think when he scored that KO. A number of 'great performances' can be narrow victories, IMO.
One of the single greatest underrated performances was Montell Griffin's performance against Roy Jones in the 1st fight. Montell's reflexes and speed was just as good as Roy's in that fight which is what gave Roy such problems. Hell he did so good he blackened Roy's eye. Too bad the performance got marred by Jones' foul and Griffin's subsequent acting job.
You're right. That's the only time I saw Roy frustrated in a fight. The other fights he lost he got laid out so he was at peace.
