He never game his a rematch, or even hinted at giving him one in the future. He's still fighting bums, instead of fighting the other champs. Is he scared of Miranda or is he just another euro-protected fraud?

There is no doubt that he and his management IMO want nothing to do with Miranda. And for that, they will have nothing to do with Pavlik. Abraham will be the next Calzaghe, fighting only handpicked Euro-fighters.

Abraham and Erdei are the 2 worst cowards in boxing.

I thought mirandas excuse was that he can't make 60 anymore after pavlik knocked him senseless.

At one point, Arum was discussing putting Pavlik and Abraham on the same June 7th card to set up a match down the road...and from what I'd read, Abraham was open to the idea of fighting Pavlik in June or later in the year.

He can barely make 168. Even after the IBF left him #1 he never pushed for the rematch he was working towards fighting taylor. As you mentioned he got knocked senseless before that could happen. :blobbox:

True recently, but immediately post-fight and for the time just after, Miranda was talking rematch....and quite often, I thought.

I´m sure if the IBF had ordered a rematch Abraham would have taken it, but with Miranda´s struggles to make 160, and his loss to Pavlik it went out of the window. I´m sure Miranda will remember Abraham, once Kessler has taken him apart. At that point, he won´t have much else. That being said Abraham is headed into the same direction as all the other German champions. If Sauerland really wanted it, Abraham would have been on the B.A.D. undercard of Povetkin/Chambers, instead of fighting that bum Elcock a month earlier. It was understandable he fought a relative soft touch in Demers after his horrible injury. Gevor was his mandatory challenger, but ever since it´s been a lot of cheap talk, and not much action. They even sold it to the German media, that Abraham would headline an MSG show the night of the HBO and Showtime tripleheaders in June, to challenge Pavlik later in the year.

I can't decide who I dislike more- Arthur or Edison.

One is spineless and the other is a mouthy punch bag. What's to like?

    So it´s on

June 21st, TBA, USA on Showtime

    Abraham vs. Miranda II

    Lorenzo vs. R. Marquez

Time to dust off the smurf song.  Abraham has never been the same since he changed his gimmick.

They better keep them apart till they meet in the middle of the ring.

Hey, wait a minute Lorenzo is risking his mandatory status here. :kick:

Smart "matchmaking" by Showtime. Lorenzo will look like a million bucks, if he can fight just a bit. Plus Showtime´ll have their next fight set up already, assuming Abraham gets by Miranda.
