That's true. It would hurt Floyd's hands to constantly bash Cotto's head over and over.

I seriously doubt Floyd's afraid of Cotto. The dude seriously thinks he's the best in the world, if not ever. I think this has more to do with him not wanting to do buisness with Arum or something along those lines. Floyd's obviously ducking the fight yes, but I doubt it's out of fear of Cotto.

    This thread is just stupid.

Why don't we start a thread saying Floyd is ducking Cornelius Bumrage? He would be equally competitive with Floyd.

Your mother raised a pretty stupid son. Cotto is the truth and he is the only man on the scene with the skills to beat Mayweather. Floyd is great and I'd pick him but Cotto can win.

Which is pretty damn good considering that it got no HBO type of hype whatsoever.

It had a better undercard than a lot of the ppv's that do have HBO hype.

It did recieve a lot of attention in the markets it was targeted for.

Good point. So what if can and does dominate those fighters. Just as long as he MAKES THE FIGHTS HAPPEN.

Two of the above would be plenty. Three, more than we could hope for.

That's a bit harsh. I dare say most fight cards are not bought for the undercard.

If you get a good one, all the better but the main event is usually the reason for buying.

My mother has a PhD in Physics from one of the top 10 Universities in the country, and I have an advanced degree from one of the premier research universities in the U.S.

Where did your mom go to school?

Cotto is going to get his ass kicked. Cotto wouldn't even get past Margarito.

    Absolutely agreed with your post.

That being said - Cotto has actually addressed Mayweather publicly; several times.

    Peace.

You can make a point or counter one without the insults.

    Let's keep it clean.

    Thanks.

Cotto has mentioned Mayweather a few times, but I really don't think all that much about people "calling out" other fighters anyway. It's when it gets down to business with contracts and negotiations that counts.

Mayweather claimed he was all mad that Hatton disrespected him after the Castillo fight.

He was really probably thinking "oh good, now we got some hype going for this fight, this will help the sales and my paycheck".

Ricardo Torres had Cotto on queer street. Margarito would crush Cotto's glass jaw.

He was also hurt against Judah, Corley, and Mosley.

Cotto is going to take a major beating against Margarito. Will you ever post on another boxing board after that happens?

But Cotto has Mentioned Floyd N the CORDIAL,"Sure, I'd like to Fight him Sense"...Hatton BELITTLED Floyd on National T.V & REED Thinks that Played the BIGGEST Role N Getting a Floyd-Hatton Fight Made....

NOBODY Even Considered that Matchup Prior to Hatton's Comments...Then, to EVERYONE's Surprise, they were Negotiating...

It's DOUBTFUL that Cotto would EVER do that (he's NOT that Type of Cat), but if he DID, REED Thinks Floyd Wouldn't Hesitate to Sign a Contract...

OR, if Arum Beats the ANTI-Mayweather Drum LOUD Enough, he May IRK Floyd Into Facing Cotto...

Cotto wasn't weight drained. He just got caught because he has a leaky defense.

Cotto's? Maybe. I'm not quite sold on Cotto yet. Mosley showed that his will can be taken, and Mosley is almost 40.

Margarito is in the same age range as Cotto and just as hungry, maybe more so. I see Margarito destroying Cotto fairly easily.

how exactly did Mosley take his will?

Cotto not only outfought Mosley he also outboxed him. So much that Mosley took his loss and moved on.

Margarito has steped up twice against Santos who is fucking mediocre at best and lost.

The williams loss was not a step up. It was his fucking mandatory. Quitanta quickly showed how to beat that tall gimp. The same Quintana that got iced by Cotto.

I'm not surprised to see you hype up Margarito this much. You buy into all this Top Rank propaganda. Not so long it was Humberto Soto just cause Arum told you it was. Guzman put a stop into that hype job.

The funniest thing is that you see Margarito handling Cotto EASILY.

Margarito has never beaten anybody as good as Cotto let alone easily.

as far as the thread no Floyd is not ducking Cotto but he is clearly looking for money fights which are not what the public wanna see.

Even the average Joe who saw Floyd/Delahoya don't wanna see a rematch. Even worst a Hatton rematch.

Floyd/Cotto is the best fight to make at 147 right now. Of course in a year or so it will be a bigger fight assuming neither guy loses.

I saw Floyd on Rome is Burning and the Black chick that was filling in for Jim Rome pissed him off.

I actually like her because she knows sports and doesn't kiss ass.

At the end of the interview she had this sarcastic smile and told Floyd:

"I get it Floyd your a big deal" Imediately she finished the interview by cutting him off and started saying goodbye.

Floyd imediately started thanking her in a sarcastic manner like he didn't like her attitude.

To say goodbye he told her to tell Jim he can't wait to talk to him. She told him she would pass on the message. Both of them started smiling in a dislike manner.

I don't know if anybody caught it but I could tell Floyd was a little pissed off but was playing it off and there was no more time for him to say something stupid.
