I agree with the wise proposition that Fraud's groupies, eerily clamor and conjecture on the subject of Fraud's purses and PPV numbers, it was especially worse around two months before the De La Hoya fight, I believe it inspired one poster to create a poll entitled "Who has more cash?" (a) De La Hoya (b) Mayweather,...satire on the mania over the ridiculous fucken subject that dominated the boards at that time, and still, not a day goes by on here where I am not reminded of it in some way.

 

I guess it's one of those things "if you have to ask, you will never understand" type thing when it comes to feeling good about Floyd's money.....:dunno:

 

Yes, I must admit I don't get it, especially when his groupies make the claim that they don't care what he does or says outside of the ring, (as you can tell by the dancing with the stars and wrestlemania threads), ....but you'll be sure to hear the phrase make a welcome return when he throws his child support payments off the stage during a rap concert .

I've met Floyd several times in person - even well before I began writing. Is always respectful, always shows love and seems to be a fairly well-grounded person. That doesn't mean he's above my criticism; in fact - a couple years ago- I wrote a pretty long-winded article on this site about why he need to fight Margarito.

See, I don't think you get it. If you wanna say someone "made" Floyd, fine. Whatever. If you wanna deny that he is ALREADY a crossover star, you don't live in this world. But if you start calling Floyd some loser and saying a bunch of stuff that, quite frankly, you know sh*t about then you have some, weird twisted hatred for the man.

Lemme guess? Floyd's really that asshole he portrays in front of cameras and Oscar really is a PC guy who just wants to play with his dogs and snuggle with Millie. Get a clue. He plays this role just so he can elicit this kind of reaction from guys like you. And, deny it all you want, it's a major part of why he's banking. That, and the fact he's a great fighter in his prime.

 

Yes but ...ah,.. groupies manage to find the good side of Floyd, even when he's starving his children and whipping various women across the lips with his knuckles, you can make this same argument for all notorious criminals, I think I recall Jeffrey Dahmer was a mild mannered chap and a friendly cooperative neighbour to those who met the man personally, look at it from his side, he was just a little hungry, and his modus operandi, like Fraud, made him a "big name", he's known all over the world, the joke is on us haters.

The bottom line is, if you dug a little deeper into the lives of most boxers, you'd probably find sh*t as equally disturbing as anything Floyd has done.

We like to pick and choose the people we hate and turn a blind eye to the wrongdoings of those who we like. Whatever the case, you don't know him. We don't know how good or bad he is. What we do now, however, is the role he plays in front of the cameras is netting him some serious coin.

The fact is, what we all KNOW about Floyd is that he is an uncharismatic, phony, trash talkin punk that doesn't have anything to like about him as a person other than his FANTASTIC fighting ability.
