His ass still hurts from the other B.A.D. thread. Joe King should be banned from all boxing forums, once he starts cheering for Gamboa, cause with RJ cocksucker disease it will take Gamboa roughly a minute to infect him.
I'm not hating on Gamboa in particular, in fact he has good skills. I just want more featured matchups on B.A.D, like there were just two years ago.
I agree! that Gamboa kid seems like the real deal but it's too soon to overrate him like some have already. And BAD should not be for prospects.
It would have been a good fight and the winner would have been close to a WBO Title shot. There's no reason to be happy this fight isn't happening unless you don't know anything about boxing. Then again.,,,,,, BTW-Gamboa is still going to be on BAD, it just might be against a worse opponent now. Yeah that's something to be happy about.
I doubt they would move Gamboa to a tittle shot. for what weightclass is this? I've seen Gamboa ranked at 126 and at 130 by the WBO forget about the 130 tittle shot with Guzman ::
Ramirez fights at 126 and is rated #2 by the WBO. Gamboa would beat Luevano's ass right now. I have no doubt they will move him to a title shot if they can get it for him.
you think so? I've seen Luevano twice so far. The first time I wasn't impressed. the last time I saw him I though he was better than I thought at first. Luevano is no pushover though. opcorn:
I am not impressed with Luevano at all. He's an accident waiting to happen to be honest. Guerrero would beat his ass to. If I were moving gamboa to a title shot I would go for Luevano as well. He's the weakest link at 126 IMO. if gamboa beat him then have him fight some of the other guys. If I remember right they have made it pretty clear they want a title shot asap with gamboa.
if I'm Marcos Ramirez, I wouldn't want anything to do with fighting Gamboa if there wasn't a belt on the line, either.
a belt on the line shouldn't matter. guys try to win belts so they can get an hbo slot/payday. if his people don't think he can beat the guy then that's what counts. seems like they'll never be interested in the fight if not now when gamboa has less than 10 bouts.
Agreed. Luevano has improved and has underrated toughness, but definitely the weakest link at 126 and because of styles, I can see Gamboa beating him soon. Peace.
New foe for Gamboa! By Lee Bates Unbeaten super featherweight sensation Yuriorkis Gamboa (9-0, 8 KOs) will now face Darling Jimenez (23-2-2, 14 KOs) his May 17th HBO debut. Jiminez has won six straight, all by KO. Gamboa was originally slated to face WBO #2 Ranked Marcos Ramirez (25-0, 16 KOs), but Ramirez decided not to take the fight. A 2004 Olympic Gold medal winner for Cuba, Gamboa opened eyes in his U.S. television debut back in February as he brutally knocked out Johnny Edwards in one round on ESPN2 to win the NABF super featherweight title. He has been so impressive that after just nine fights, he is rated WBA #5 and WBC #8 respectively. Friday, March 28 2008
That KO of Anchondo was one of my favorites of last year, Anchondo was definitely a case of misplaced hype a few years ago, he had the personality but the skills were absent
