The Saturday night round by round you're all waiting for

Discussion in 'General Boxing Discussion' started by Bug Eyed Earl, Apr 6, 2008.

  1. The Canadian Steve Molitor takes on Fernando Beltran Jr. for the IBF 122 lb title, somewhere in Ontario I'm guessing, probably at a casino.

    Molitor is undefeated.

Anthem, intro's and in ring meeting are done.

    WAR MOLITOR!

  3. Molitor is a slickster southpaw who can bang a bit and pays attention to the body. Beltran seems like your typical reliable Mexican.

  4. Pretty even first round. Beltran comes forward, Molitor boxes and circles. Nothing much signifigant happend.

Beltran is good for a few rounds then he'll fall apart

  6. Beltran is a southpaw as well. The hysterical Canadian boxing commentator gave Beltran the first but the crowd is solidly behind Molitor.

  7. I turn back to Hockey Night in Canada and my beloved Flames are up 3-1 on the hated but playoff absent Vancouver Canucks.

    Woo.

  8. Second round Molitor has his moments, landing sharp combos.

  9. Molitor has good movement both head, body and foot, good fundamentals. Fights smart.

Molitor brings tears to my eyes sometimes. He can be so negative.

  11. Yeah he's a real peice of shit. I'd rather watch Kelly Hrudey analyze the first period. 3rd and 4th round are pretty boring.

  12. It's close. After 6 I have it even. Molitor boxes but Beltran applies effective pressure from time to time.

  13. In the 7th Molitor lands a lot of sharp left hands, gets some good body shots in. Molitor round but Beltran hangs tough.

I thought Molitor would have this guy out of there by now.

  15. Molitor is a 12 round kind of dude.

  16. Molitor is cut over an eye. Intensity of round goes up, I have Molitor winning but it does make it interesting.

  17. Beltran gets deducted a point for a low blow, kind of bullshit call but he did hit him in the nuts in the first round!!! omg. Anyways, the cut is on the eyelid but should hold up as we are in the 10th round.

Yeah but I don't think much of Beltran.

  19. Molitor wins a UD. Woo. Canada.

  20. Molitor has been an active beltholder. He's still undefeated but he needs to put himself out there against the top at 122, ie. Vasquez, De Leon, Ceballero, Rafa Marquez.
