    ....credibility that is under scrutiny by so many?

    @147 and above Tony:

    1. took on Santos twice
    2. Cintron (scheduled to do it again)
    3. P. Williams
    4. J. Clottey
    5. M. Gomez (on wiinning streak)
    6. A. Lewis (who cares?)
    7. Kyvelos - if nothing else, undefeated at the time....

    @147 and above Cotto:

    1. Quintana (good win)
    2. Judah
    3. Mosley (even fight IMO)
    4. scheduled to fight club figher, A. Gomez

    Tough call - Cotto gets credit 4 Mosley, but rest were gimme

    Who's resume, 147 and up is better?

    Let me fix it for you

    @147 and above Tony:

    1. lost to Santos twice
    2. Cintron (padded record cry baby)
    3. P. Williams - lost
    4. J. Clottey - ugly fight, didn't win convincingly
    5. M. Gomez (manuel "shot" gomez)
    6. A. Lewis (LOL)
    7. Kyvelos - who?

    @147 and above Cotto:

    1. Quintana (good win, beat paul williams after fight)
    2. Judah (laughable, but Judah is always a threat)
    3. Mosley (Cotto won, no doubt...even mosley conceded)
    4. scheduled to fight club figher, A. Gomez (true, weak fight)

    You're actually comparing Margarito's resume to Cotto's?:lol:

    Even Cotto beating Malignaggi is a better win then almost all of Margaritos!:laughing:

    Took on santos twice. Didn't manage to win either.

    Beat Cintron. Lost to williams.

    So he is 1-2 against prime, world class fighters.

    Really good :bears: Great resume :bears:

    Cotto has been in the division for a fraction of the time that Margw has, and already has a better resume.

    Quintana, Judah and Mosley. Quintana beat the best fighter that Marge has faced, the lanky guy that he lost to, williams :lol:

    ANY thread that tries to big up marge's record has failed before it's even started.

    I think it's better to just go back to him being the most underrated and ducked fighter in boxing, because his record certainly doesn't do him any favours.

    LOL@ comparing the resume's of a lifetime WW and Cotto. Cotto has taken on some pretty good fighters since being at 147 and hasn't lost. Unlike Margarito who losses to sparring partners who get schooled by a guy Cotto blasted. Now you see what kind of people think Floyd "ducked" Margarito.

    Why is Santos chinny? Cos he got knocked out by a good welterweight banger years ago?

    I would also like to note that they should have each other on their resumes... and we know it wasn't Cotto's fault that didn't happen.

He OWNED you all..:crafty: whoa ho!.. the way Margarito "shoulder rolled" this shit, and countered beautifully reminded me of that film starring Steve Martin, Michael Caine,..and that wench?..."Dirty Rotten Scoundrels",..just when you thought he was feeling the squeeze, WOP!......he pulls the rug out from beneath yer'aaaaaaaaaaaaall :laughing: wooo hoooo!.

    thats nice that he got a career high payday to lose to his sparring partner....now BOB Arum will offer him even less money to receive the worst beatdown of his career....career ending beating at the hand of Miguel Cotto.....:crafty::crafty::crafty:

    Yes, Cotto will give Margarito the lead protecting of his life :notallthere:. You know what I like about this fight?.. Cotto is nice and squat, he's the soulmate for Margarito's uppercut.

    Margarito will soon realize that Cotto isn't GOLDEN JOHNSON and those uppercuts will NOT be landing...

    They WILL land if he tries to do that peakaboo hard arse shit, if there's one fighter who can weevil his way through a stationary guard, it's Sir Tony, duke of Tijuana. Now I'm not like you an Explosive, I dont allow the emotions to get in the way of the likely scenario, so I will conceed, that I expect Tony to struggle GREATLY, before knocking him out cold in the dieng seconds of round 1.

    I would take Cotto's competition - let alone results - at 147 above Margarito's, but this supposed correction is a joke...especially that shit you wrote in parenthesis.

    You obviously haven't seen either Santos fight, or are too ignorant or biased to actually present it as though you have.

    At the moment, Quintana and Mosley are probably regarded as better wins than any of Margarito's at the weight and the Judah win is on par with some of his wins, but Williams, Cintron and Clottey are all ranked in the top ten in a very strong division.

    I think Clottey especially of those names could be a difficult and perhaps awkward opponent for Cotto...I'd love to see that fight.

    Cotto will punish Margarito...Margarito will be in the fight till the end because he is sooo much bigger than Cotto.

    Miguel straighter punches..jab/left hook/right hand will rip Margarito's face apart...

    Expect alot of 'lead protecting" and plenty of buzz concealing "switch dances",..:crafty:

    After Margarito is gloriously victorious, I'll open a bandwagon for ya,..

    Great point.

    Gomez is better than Kyvelos, too. But Double writes "if nothing else, undefeated at the time..." :lol:

    BTW - I only had Margarito up by only one point when the fight was stopped, and in no way did I think Margarito was in control or dominating. People like to misrepresent that fight.

    And Santos' chin is often underrated as is his class/difficulty as an opponent. On top of that, the dude comes in the ring weighing north of 170 lbs. on fight night.

    Peace.

    It's also easier to move up in weight if your a back peddling bitch-fighter, if your a full throttle aggressor/brawler like Margarito, being the smaller man makes a hell of alot of difference, you play into all the bigger man's strengths, whereas backpeddling, means you play into all the larger mans weaknesses.

    Jesus christ! :eeeek: Thats scary.

    Like I said just have Cotto fight Stevie Johnson now and we can settle this whole debate once and for all. :lol:

    The Margarito fans have a point when they say Toney is solid. But beyond that there is a big lacuna in the landscape of Margarito's career.... and it will remain so until Margarito fights an A level guy. Judah is a good fight for Toney in this respect.

    That's true, as Hatton and Castillo have found out. It's what makes guys like Duran so amazing.

    You gotta have the right skills to move up effectively 3, 4, 5 weight classes...sometimes even just one.

    That said....Margarito is a pretty big 147 lber.

    Peace.

    What do you expect, when Cotto's been @ 147 for 16 months, and Margarito for how long?
