Time to move up I think, either that or his chopping block head has just taken one too many over the years, which is very plausible [IMG].

You almost feel sorry for Cintron. You know he can punch but it's like he's hitting a damn brick wall. The punches have no effect on Margarito.

Cintron better land a blind shot in a perfect place on Margarito, because he's getting overwhelmed by Margarito's pressure and activity, and getting torn apart up close with short uppercuts and hooks.

Margarito using angles very well; smartly steps to the side and works his left whenever their bodies touch. Cintron is on his game tonight and is dangerous throughout. Excellent fight, as I expected.

    Body punch did the trick

Cintron was taking a beating and lost every round. He fought back but magarito was landing very damaging punches in every round.

He earned the right to cry. He fought an incredible fight. That is a FOTY contender.

Margarito-Cotto is gonna be a bloodbath.

If I was Cintron I'd be crying too. When things started getting rough, he was trying to find a way out. Dude doesn't have the mindset to be a champion.:nono:

I'm sure they'll interview Cintron after the fight. But they won't be able to interview his spirit, as that left the building midway through the 2nd round.

I can't understand how people can knock a guy like Antonio Margarito. The guy never complains about money and is willing to fight anybody. Sure, he's not a Mayweather talent but he's awfully tough to beat and has been a fixture at or near the top of the welterweight division for over five years. And he's fought Clottey, Williams, Cintron and now Cotto (should he win) in succession. Give the man his due.

I don't know about FOTY, it may be too one-sided for that. Entertaining, but like Pavlik-Miranda, not enough from the loser to make it that.

Miranda landed some clean punches as well.

But they had almost no visible effect on Margarito, who continually outworked him throughout the fight.

It was a good fight, but not in the class of those from March.
