At best Johnson got a draw. He can't really complain about being robbed of a win. He didn't win 7 rounds or more.

Dawson is incredibly skilled but DAMN he has awful recovery and to make it worse, he's VERY hittable. It's only a matter of time before he gets TKOed. As much as I hate Tarver I think Tarver could do it.

Damn, I´m happy I didn´t bet on Woods and Castillejo. Tarver really turned the clock a bit back after his horrible showings against Muriqi and Santiago.

 

Tarver is much better then Woods. I can't understand why so many people figured he was good enough to beat Tarver. Like i tried telling people on here Tarver has no trouble with straight ahead guys.

But i gave him 2 out of the last 3 rounds. Great fight by both fighters though.

 

Yeah but except for Bernard Hopkins, Glen Johnson does that to everyone. That's like saying a guy can't handle speed because he got outboxed by Floyd Mayweather.

 

Light heavyweight became a truelly SHIT division today, and with Hopkins set to grapple, and stink out next weeks match, it's only gunna get poorer.

Tarver's style is well suited to walk in guys. Reggie Johnson, Harding, Jones....they were trouble.

Not really. Johnson is hardly a 175 pound Henry Armstrong. He's a very good fighter, but he is a straight forward pressure fighter with pretty good defense.

Goddamn did Woods fight poorly tonight. At absolute best he won maybe three rounds, and that's being pretty generous.

Credit to Tarver, though. He schooled Woods tonight...

Dawson was shit, BTW. I thought he lost by a round, though I could see it fair enough a draw or a round to Chad. But 116-112 UD was awful.

As someone else has said, 175 took a real hit tonight. Chad looked very beatable indeed and Woods was outclassed. Not good.
