I Believe. Believe he will get his ass kicked by Miguel Cotto on Saturday night.

Well I hope that is the one you bet on cause if Gomez outpoints Cotto, it's not like they'll actually give him the decision.

Good luck. I have serious doubts about Sylvester´s chin and resistence under pressure, but I´ll wait until the live-betting starts. Interestingly enough most german fight fans pick Castillejo, while the rest of the world picks Sylvester.

yea, i cant believe the success castillejo has had at 160. this guy has had a very good career and also made a lot of money throughout.

i'm hoping sylvester gets a close decision somehow. castillejo's age has to catch up at some point. that argentine he stopped in the rematch was on a club level.

Sylvester will get the decision. This is a Sauerland event with a German fighter as the defending European champion, so you should be pretty save as long as the fight is close (7-5ish). Castillejo is promoted by Universum, but I don´t think Kohl has much interest in matching his fragile champ Sturm against Castillejo for a third time. Sylvester as a methodical boxer is a better fit for Sturm. On the other hand if Sylvester is capable of beating Castillejo easily (I´d be shocked) one can´t rule out he´d beat Sturm as well. I was really surprised, when he climbed off the canvas to stop Asikainen in the re.

Was going to rip you for my first post, but you're reasoning is solid. Personally, I think you just donated $250, but we shall see.

that press conference was funny as hell. Gomez talking about having a dream of being in a press conference before a world tittle when he was a kid in some little town in Mexico

He spent a long time telling his dream in Spanish and then did the whole thing over in English.

Cotto was quick and just said his dad once told him an his brothers when your gonna do something just do it don't talk about it.

I respect Gomez because I rather see an underdog very confident instead of a guy showing signs that he is just happy to be there.

I had a dream last night that Alphonso Gomez was standing over a bloody Cotto. Cotto was dazed and stumbling to his feet but fell back onto his knee and the referee waved it off!!! :eeeek:

DAMN. Maybe you dreamt you watched it in a mirror. I was rooting for you but...:eeeek:

It's okay. I'm really hyped up to see Margarito/Cotto now. I wish they were fighting next week.

Money well spent Bama, money well spent:lol:

You would of had a better shot if you rode past a bank, threw a bond for $200 out the window towards the bank, and hope that someone would of picked the bond up,put it in the bank for you,and all you had to do is wait for it to appreciate with time:bears:

I spent another $150 on dinner tonight too.

As for throwing money into the street, I don't give charity to poor hobos. Sorry Octopus, you're going to have to earn your $250.

It was a throw away bet. It's not like he's saying he thought Gomez was going to win.

It's just that at 9 to 1 the price was too good to pass up. I think it was a good bet.

Actually he did say he thought Gomez would win because he felt Cotto was shot...

Just because the odds are long doesn't make a mismatch a good bet. If they fought again in 6 months and the odds were 90-1, would it be a 'good' bet again?

Actually it made the fight more exciting until Cotto started really messing up Gomez.

Then my girlfriend was like, "You should've just gave me the cash."
