He's a hell of a fighter, almost 40 years old and still going strong. I love me a bit of that old time Jamaican accent too.

"Why do dem jodges always tairke it from me?"

Glen won that fight hands down. Complete robbery.

Who do you think Glen should fight next?

Completely agree he won that fight for sure, but as I told a few friends at the time he will never get the decision over “bad chadâ€￾.

And the fact the judges gave it by 4 rounds was a complete joke.

Thought Dawson won the fight, but Johnson is a helluva fighter. I wish he would have won though so we could have seen the rubber match with Tarver.

 I heard he lost to Sven Ottke ...FARE AND SQUARE.....

    *SQUEALS!*...and that's unforgiveable.

    I like Reggae though.

Definite props to Glen mex, definite props to Glen. Truth is if he had, lets say, lost that fight 116 to 115, and not had all the other close calls that could have gone for/or against him, go against him.... It would not have been so bad.

Culmultively he got fucked. First that score was stupidly lopsided. It was a much closer fight that he could have won. The judges were way off in that respect. He just does not get the respect of the judges and there is no logical reason why.

By contrast Jermaine taylor always gets it called his way, meanwhile Johnson does not catch a break.

I think it is sad. Johnson's record does not speak for how good Glen really is. I wish I could have five minutes with the guy so I could say to him that a lot of us see how well he is doing and do not take the stupid judges seriously.

This fickle fate that has befalen Glen has made him a gatekeeper of sorts. I don't think Chad got through that gate. NO MATTER who won that fight on points, Glen hurt Chad and was stronger finishing the fight. IN my book that counts. I don't care who threw more punches.

Tough break for the Road Warrior - I thought he won the fight. A real shame, although there are a bunch of light heavy's who are relieved to see him one step closer to leaving the game. I really wanted to see a Hops-Johnson rematch but that's never happening.

This weekend's fights just proved that Hopkins is the man. He'd beat everyone who fought Saturday. Dawson is garbage and is a KO waiting to happen. As much as I hate Tarver, I think he stops Dawson.

Johnson is the kind of guy that you just have to like. Willing to fight anyone, doesn't matter where it is and has a crowd pleasing style. Also he seems like a genuine down to earth kind of guy.

Me too. I wouldn't go as far as to call Dawson garbage, but he is a very average titleholder.

Fuck off, Glen won 8 rounds in that fight, and almost decked him twice and had him hurt.

Glen is too good to be a gatekeeper. He's a truthteller if anything. I think Chad lost the fight but he passed the test for now. He could have folded under the Glencoffe pressure but he didn't and somehow got the judges to see the fight his way.

HaHa! My metaphor is better then your metaphor. DSimon is the gatekeeper of metaphors.

Maybe not, but he's an interesting opponent for anybody. I wonder why we can't enjoy good to very good fighters anymore. Either a guy is a "dominant champ" or he's garbage. :dunno:

He's not garbage, he's just not what he was hyped up to be. To get rocked multiple times by Johnson is bad.

Exactly. I don't see things that way at all, a fighter doesn't have to be elite for me to like him.

I guess from my perspective, and probably Z's too, it's annoying when a guy gets overhyped. Dawson is clearly not deserving of the hype. Glen beat him, so would Tarver and so would Hopkins, but he was being talked about as this 175 pound monster.

I don't think he was overhyped. He convincingly beat Adamek and is a legit champion because of it.

He had a tough time with Johnson, only Hopkins and Tarver have been able to beat him convincingly and Johnson has been in with everybody good at 175.

I know I didn't have to give him 8 rounds you filthy little yellow skinned Gerry, but I chose to, because he won them.

Glasses aren't my style you twat, I have awesome predator-level vision. Get yourself some instead, or just learn to score a fight.

Challenger or not, the Coffe won 8 rounds.

I missed the first 6 rounds of the fight (thought they started at 10, not 9  ), so I can't say if the decision was fair or not, but the fight (what I saw of it anyway) was pretty entertaining.

And damn, does Glencoffe look like he's in his mid 50's, or what?
