Sparring means squat, only thing that matters is what happens inside the ring/cage where the entire world can see.

Kimbo's fights have been very short, can't really gauge his craft but his combinations against Abbot were quite good. The accurate 1-2 that put Abbot on his ass. Seems to throw a decent punch or two. Just wonder about his ground game and stamina.

As much as I'd love to see Kimbo KTFO, I bet it's just White spouting BS.

This is Dana White at his best.If he doesn't fight for the UFC than he is garbage. I understand why he does it but its getting real annoying.I would like WHite more if he kept it real sometimes.

Am I the only one impressed by the fact that Griffin is really taking the Rampage fight seriously if he's sparring with the 240 lb, hard-punching Kimbo?

Experience and skill aside, that's serious practice with a dangerous striker.

But the truth is, this is just an example of White trying to minimize EliteXC on the heels of yet another top HW leaving UFC. Kimbo may be green, but he has far more appeal than any HW fighting for White and Dana knows that.

Indeed, and while the UFC has most of the top caliber guys, I don't know that they have anyone with the crazy, cross-over appeal that Kimbo has.

That being said, Kimbo KO1 over Liddell.

no offense reed, but i dont think your speculation about forrest has a leg to stand on.....Forrest and Dana are close, and there are plenty of people in those gyms watching sparring that love to talk

TFK, what site is this from???

If the story is real, it doesnt surprise me at all.....maybe white stretched the truth....maybe kimbo wasnt out slothing about, maybe he was knocked down or dazed, but I see no reason to NOT believe the story

I actually heard this story from numerous sources. It supposedly happened at the Extreme Couture camp which Kimbo hasn't gone back to. It was supposedley a high kick to the head. I doubt that it was forrest bragging about it. There were probably many people in the gym watching it as it happened. I remember hearing about Kimbo going to train for a bit at the Couture camp, which seems to make sense. Who knows though.

It saves him talking about not letting his best fighter fight Roy Jones.

I feel bad for Anderson,he's hands down the most exploited fighter in MMA.He's only promised 70,000 a fight which is a complete joke:shit:

Silva's just turned 33 ,so who can blame him for wanting to make some real cash before he gets to old.:dunno:

forrest griffin spars as hard as he fights.

this has led many fighters that train at xtreme couture to stop training with him.

i once rocked a 205 king of the cage fighter sparring and im a 135 LBS boxer. i hit him with a full shot while we were going somewhere around 50%. if a guy turns it up and you arent pumped u can get blasted for sure.

if they actually fought i still think forrest would win, but definitely not by headkick KO.
