I've never done any weights in my life, I try to keep as lean as possible to retain speed and explosiveness.

I'm solid and lean, not quite shredded, but at peak training, yes I look fairly ripped/shredded. If I trained non stop for 6 weeks I could probably lose 10 pounds and get down to 140, but it would be difficult.

I wouldn't have thought you were 200 LOK. From the pics/vids of you, I would have guessed 5'10 and around 175.

    Post a pic LOK.

    Thanks for that link, Mike.
I missed you guys last night, I got home right before 6 and hit the rowing machine for a half hour, but after taking a shower all I had on my mind was a shaker of martinis after the kind of day I put in and didn't feel like driving from Alvin to Reliant and back when I had to be at work at 7.
I am thinking Chris is going to get it done tomorrow and bring the belt back to the USA where it belongs.

You wouldn't get past Karl. He'd talk some smack to you in his big, loud Texan voice and you'd shit your dorky finnish self, and get on the first flight back to finland.

Karl, you know I cant buy that... it's a straight shot up 288 and only about 20 minutes away..
But you didnt miss anything.. 4 of first 5 bouts were 1 rounders, with 3 of the opp. quitting.. main event was pedestrian 8-0 shutout..
Cruz did get KTFO tho... bad bad, took 10 minutes to get up

Oh I did lecture your boy on the content of his story and he appreciated the feedback.

    Thanks, Mike.
I know the kid means well, but he was probably just excited, and that will be a learning lesson for him as he needs to know how to describe how a fighter looks, and not to release any camp secrets or specifics regarding instruction.
I was just beat last night is what it boils down to is to why I didn't go.
Sorry to hear that Cruz got put on ice hard like that as I like his go for broke slugging style.

The reason I ask is 200 seems big for a 5 niner.

Shane is the same height as us, and I'm sure you agree that he is by no means skinny, or small. He's a pretty built guy, with a big solid torso, chest and shoulders. Yet he fights at 147.

  15. Hanz

    Hanz Roberto Duran

He looks big on tv but in real life, not so much. He's actually pretty thin. Small arms, lean legs, not a big frame at all. He muscled up considerably to make 154. He's like Bruce Lee. An ectomorph build but ripped.
Didn't some girl on here meet Shane in real life and was surprised at how small he was compared to on tv? Some obsessed fan from BT I remember.

Are you going by other's opinions Hanzy, or have you seen Shane in real life?

You're right though, he does have small legs, and that's what keeps him as a natural 147 pounder, but you have to admit his upper body looks pretty fucking built and solid.

I would be surprised if Shane looked small in real life.

Rashad Evans is about Shane's height but fights at 205. Shane is buffed for a little guy when he's on a roid cycle but he's naturally a thin guy. Look at Evans at 205.

What Hanzy says is true.. some of these guys LOOK big on TV but are small in real life..

I have seen Shane in person and he is MUCH smaller than me. he is in shape but small

even Roy.. Roy in person looks pretty small, at 5'10 or so and when he was fighting 168., I was at the time still 5'9 and 185 or so but very very low body fat.. I was suprised how much Smaller than Me Roy looked, taller but smaller..

both Shane and Roy have thin legs though as well and I have thick legs due to years of heavy squating and martial arts as well..

Shane looks small in real life

he looks much bigger on tv with no shirt on but if you see him in real life in a tee shirt.. he looks skinny

Interesting. I am less built up top than Shane, but have musclier, chunkier legs from Thai Boxing. Even though it was a decade ago, for some reason my legs have stayed the same.

By the way, Evans isn't 5'9 is he? I thought he was more like 5'11.

Chris and Ronnie Shields have some very interesting takes on the fight.
Ronnie says that Chris knocked Diaconu through the ropes and the ref didn't call it, and that cost Chris the fight and Ronnie thinks Chris won the fight.
Both were complaining about the referee not being strong enough to handle the fighters and he let Diaconu get away with excessive hoilding, and dirty tactics.
I didn't see much of the fight, but other folks are also telling me that Chris should have been awarded that decision regardless of open scoring and he came on very strong late.

    KaukipRrr "Twinkle Toes" McJack

Diaconu fucken sux, ESPN's commentators were screaming, literally SCREAMING about him, built him up like a prime Tyson had risen from the dead after crucifixtion, all because he TKO'd and cut glass-chined Rico Hoye, and that kind've sensationalism irritates me the same way Miranda's press release team do. His power is frankly overrated, a testament to his average KO ratio, and the pudgey little midget obviously doesn't want to work too hard, so he fights at a higher weight and throws compact little spurts. Dawson would annihilate him and look real good doing so, what a pity Adrian bitched out.

Well I haven“t seen the last two rounds, but since Henry won 3 of the last 4 rounds on the judges scorecards anyway, a knockdown would very likely have given him only one extra point and he would still have lost a close unanimous decision (113-114 twice, 113-115). Diaconu won a close fight. Bottom line. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Here is the last round, which Chris won, and that was a legitimate knockdown as he punched Adrain and Diaconu went through the ropes and got back in with the assistance of the referee.
