at first i thought it was early....then it looked like Serra signaled to the ref.... I dont know, I expect to hear Serra have something to say about it
You don't have a case when you've gotten mauled on the ground and your face looks like pizza after. Serra got raped, he had no chance in hell.
Serra looked relieved after the stoppage and didn't complain at all. It wasn't early, it was just about the right time.
There was nothing wrong with that stoppage. If you watch the replay, Serra is looking at the ref with a gaze of wonderment as to why he hadn't stopped it already. Serra wasn't ready for this version of GSP and will likely never be.
good stoppage, Serra was looking for the ref to stop it. Thats why he was turtled just taking the knees. He didn't even attempt to get up. I really hope they don't do a third. If this fight didn't prove the first fight was a nice punch and nothing else then I'm not sure what could prove otherwise. GSP is on a different level than Serra. Serra will fade into obscurity. Good for him, he got his shot and made the most of it. Hughes would have beat him bad as well.
except hughes isnt nearly as adept on his feet as either GSP or serra serra had to be wary which opened him up to takedowns plus GSPs GnP is better than hughes as is his jitsu serra would have much less to worry about plus GSP is stronger than hughes ill take serra over hughes for sure
