Some that come to mind: Roy Jones/Spiderman: Both have a unique fighting style based around physical gifts. BOth are intuitive fighters that have lightning fast reflexes. Their reflexes are unmatched. At his best, Roy Jones seems to have a spider sense that allows him to avoid danger before its even a legitimate threat. Bernard Hopkins/Batman; Probably the only mortal superhero. Batman is not as physically gifted as other otherwerldy superhereos, but is one nonetheless. However Batman is a peak human pretty much. Like Batman Hopkins is an expert tactician and posesses near genius intellect (boxing related). Both are detectives. Like Batman Hopkins will take clues and devise a gameplan to beat you. Both have different ways they can beat you. Batman has his gadgets and Hopkins has pretty much any style in the book covered. Both are mean, gritty dark characters. Mike Tyson/Wolverine: Both short compact muscular guys who fight with a berserker rage. Very physically powerful and often act on emotion. Both have been expertly trained for combat by their teachers. Tyson with Cus D Amato and Wolverine with the Canadian Armed Forces and other forms of combat. Both have dark histories that contributed to who they are. Tyson coming froma broken household and Wolverine being kidnapped and implanted with an adamantium skelteton. The process bordering on torture. Joe Calzaghe:/Dr. Octopus Kind of reminds me of Dr. Octopus. He has this huge workrate and when you watch him it looks like he basically has eight arms. George Foreman/The Incredible Hulk. Their fighting styles would be so close. Unusually strong guys who gains increasing strength wiht increasing anger. Foreman used to fight with an anger and used to say he tried to kill guys when he fought them. Foreman and Hulk are not the most intelligent fighters and have a wild clubbing style, but their strength and power make them elite. De La Hoya/Wonderwoman
Oscar De La Hoya is the Green Lantern De La Hoya has found all the green as uses it to secure mega fights. However, when in mega fights, his super hero powers fade in comparison to his opponents and he subsequently gets his ass kicked, just like the Green Lantern does.
hopkins and batman :: batman never talked about his crotch and privates, man that shit was hilarious ::
Based on the fact that he ran around with his side-kick, a young boy wearing tights? :dunno: Guess it depends on what you think 'cool' is. opcorn:
For me Hopkins is more like the Joker, in fact Bernard should consider going into movies the guy can be quite hilarious sometimes. That press conference when he's talking about the racist comment and he says 'I said what I said and its up to Joe to prove me wrong' followed by a look to the camera and cheeky grin, cracks me up every time. ::
i'd say Pac would be Wolverine. tenacious little devil with great recuperative powers. you can hurt him and knock him down but he'll come back with a vengeance.
