I'll start off with Daryl Pinkney.
    Among his 24 wins are:
    ko1 Ed Pollard 11-2
w12 Paul Gonzales 15-3 gold medalist
    sw12 Luis Rolon 12-0
    sw10 Luis Rolon 14-1
    ko3 Junior Jones 33-1
    ko1 louis leija 14-0
    ko7 Guty Espadas 19-0

He fell apart at the end of his career and went from a .500 fighter (21-21-2) when he beat Espadas to ending up 24-42-3

  4. The Cuban Hawk

For the oldtimers, GREG HAUGEN. Before you mention the Chavez and Whitaker losses, remember that they WERE Chavez and Whitaker in their primes. Haugen turned pro by beating a guy who was 10-3-1, in his 13th pro fight he beat then 38-8-1 Freddie Roach, beat Jimmy Paul when Paul was 26-1, beat Pazienza in a rematch to regain his title, and beat an undefeated HECTOR CAMACHO for the WBO Jr. Welter title.

Way back when, Camacho was an undefeated great champ who was supposed to beat Haugen no problem. :dunno:

pendleton was the best of them all. he beat a lot of good fighters and also hung in there w/ pernell.

probably. that IBF belt is one hot potato.

baloyi has done well for himself though. he's been around for a while and is probably the most accomplished south african fighter in the last 10 years or so. his fight vs. phillip n'dou was a war.

Mendoza isn't a spoiler. Cripes, he was 15-0 (15) when he beat olijade. And Rubin Williams isn't good.

Great call on Pendleton, great pick.:bears:
I had no dreaming idea (maybe only Freddie thought he'd win that one) he would starch the then very heavily hyped Roger Mayweather.

  26. Joe King

Joe King WBC Silver Diamond Emeritus Champ

Was Roger Mayweather still hyped even after the Rocky Lockridge KTFO him?

  27. StingerKarl

    StingerKarl Ace Degenerate

Yes, big time by ESPN as Rog was such a popular banger.
Sammy Fuentes, a hard fighting and crowd pleasing slugger was another one that Pendleton destroyed in about 20 seconds that ESPN highly promoted and Freddie played the spoiler role in that one as well.
