I've been saying this for a few months. Just a gut feeling mainly, a hunch. Personally I don't think it's going to happen in the near future. If it does happen, it's going to happen a few years down the line after floyd retires for a couple of years then makes a comeback. That's if Cotto is still in top of course. Who else agrees with me that this fight isn't going to happen in the next year or 2?
So you reckon it'll happen in approximately a year? Fancy a sig bet REED, just for fun? I just have this gut feeling that it won't happen in the next couple of years.
Sure, we Can Sig Bet, Mex... If by THE END of June, 2009 (1 Year & 2 Months from Now:: ), Floyd & Cotto Haven't @ Least SIGNED to Fight, U Can Control REED's Sig Space for 30 Days... It's ALREADY the Biggest Fight N Boxing, but After Cotto Dispatches of Margarita, Cotto will Go to an Even HIGHER Level... REED
I guess if Cotto gets stretched by Margerito then it wont happen but I think Cotto will beat Margaritaville and we'll have a FLoyd-Cotto showdown in DEC
Put me on the bandwagon. If Cotto beats Margarito, Floyd will still sign to fight a rematch with Hatton rather than face Cotto. He's already outlined his plans for the next year so I don't know why REED is so sure it's happening in the next 14 months.
This fight isn't happening because Margarito is going to stop Cotto. Cotto is more talented, but Margarito is going to wear him down over 8 or 10 rounds before Cotto quits.
Fraud's too buisy failing as an entertainer at the moment, I'm not sure just when the entire industry will regret having hired Fraud, and when exactly they will begin shutting off all of Fraud's oppurtunities, but it will happen, Fraud will dry up, and his groupies will welcome him back with open arms, Fraud's first statement will be something like "Boxing is a business, y'all press dont know boxing, boxing is my bread and butter, we goin' for a De La Hoya rubbermatch, if it makes dollars it makes sense, y'all stick to interviewing".... *sigh,..yay pretty boy!...
:: Yeah. Floyd's a joke now. Forget him. His boxing days are coming to an end. Time to move on and let the younger athletes shine.
Sadly, I really don't think this fight will happen either. Floyd seems more interested in making money as opposed to further enhancing his status as the best fighter in the world. Put me on the wagon please, Mex.
