I thought Calzaghe won, but not by much. Bernard no doubt landed the harder shots, and Calzaghe slapped more than I have ever seen him slap before.

I scored the fight a draw with Hopkins winning it by one point from the knockdown.

The associated press scored the fight for Hopkins as well from what I've read.

 

The BBC website also voiced their surprise when the fight went to Calzaghe.

HOWEVER, even if you had Hopkins winning, you sure as hell couldn't have him winning every round. Unless you are completely retarded.

I'm not one to usually bitch about articles - I am usually positive about things. I've enjoyed Jake's, REED's and a few other posters from here too.

But this was terrible Cupey, just a piece of utter nonsensical crap.

Most of the rounds were close and hard to score IMO, but there were at least four in which Hopkins did almost nothing, and Calzaghe clearly won.

 

Calslappies punches were so light

that Bernard went backwards all night trying to keep away from the love taps.

 

I disagree Cupey. Hopkins hugged, held, and backed up from Joe most of the fight. I was surprised anyone of the judges even gave the fight to Hopkins.
