I will start... I think it was Torres, almost positive:

Chavez looking at Camacho before the fight says "Maricone"

Torres: "My opponent is a feminine man."

Yes, I think your email did the trick. 10 years of god-awful interpretations where Torres made up fully HALF of what was "said" probably had little to do with it.

Honestly, I think he ended every single bad interpretation by adding "and I trained hard, and I am a great champion", regardless of what was actually said.

I happen to love the translations  not only does he change words, he addes emphasis and feeling to them sometimes when it's not really there:lol: that's what cracks me up

Was that sarcasim? Because if so that was just mean dude.

And just for the record, my email pointed out to HBO that the fans were well aware of Torres' misinterpretations even if they weren't. That so called 10 years of fucked up interpretations you mention is exactly what the email focused on, I even called on guys on this board to write in to HBO as well and voice their own displeasure with the guy and a few of them claimed to have done so.

Yes it's sarcasm! Not trying to be mean. My wife is Puerto-Rican and I am fluent in Spanish - and whenever she is with me watching a Ray Torres interpretation, she gets furious because he simply does not say what the boxer is saying. At times he literally just adds/makes up words which often contradict what the fighter is saying. It is really an injustice to the fighter. Also I have written HBO emails at least a dozen times and they never respond or do anything about them. Just my personal experience. Who knows? Maybe they read yours.

I liked the Torres-Chavez situation in the lockeroom. Have no idea what Torres said but it was great.
