Yep,...and Forbes is a featherfisted Junior LIGHTWEIGHT.

Oscar has finally gotten old,....and will definitely be KO'd if he faces Floyd again.

See, I didn't have to hear that because I turned the volume down  as time goes on I'm hating Steward more and more. I don't care if a guy favors one person. That's human nature. The fact that he does it for people that he thinks he has a shot at training is disgusting. The worst factor is that Steward has never seen a fight that didn't happen "exactly like I thought it would."

I have to say, it's very, very odd that Oscar's face is more busted up now than when he lost to Floyd - in a fight where he won all 12 rounds against a feather fisted opponent? :dunno:

Has Oscar's face suddenly softened up?

Well Doc at some point Manny became a shill and he never looked back. He has indeed become reprehensable.

The way he has destroyed the heavy weight division by training Vlad to be boring instead of skilled to deal with his short comings is no less reprehensible. One day when the pundits wake up Stewart is going to become a pigeone with talons instead of an Eagle.... it won't be pretty.

Judging by the pics in the reminder thread, I'd say it was more facials than not.

Oh lord, the parade continues

How the hell can Lampley point out at the start of this fight that the Mayorga demolition was fool's gold, followed by the crew selling THIS fight as if it's anything more than what we ALREADY KNEW?

I've got to talk to some lay people to figure out if this marketing truly works :kick:

I agree. In fact his activity and stamina looked fine tonight.

He didn't look anymore shot than he did against floyd or his last few opponents.

Just for some odd reason his face really marked up, and Forbes clearly has a very good chin.

I thought this was a good, entertaining fight. Oscar knows how to put on a good show and I came away happily suprised.

Oscar's stamina looked ALOT better and he seemed to be far more concerned with pplacing punches and fighting to a plan, than he did vs. Mayweather. On the other hand, Forbes landed a BUNCH of shots on the offensive minded De La Hoya. Far more than Mayweather did in a victory. Oscar's chances are better against Mayweather with this style...but he also risks a great deal more.

Forbes was a good and bad opponent for Oscar.

    Good because
He could take him 12 rounds, which in reality he needs due to inactivity
He had pretty fast hands aka Mayweather
He was pretty hard to hit

    Bad because
He couldn't KO a much smaller fighter
Forbes is a pretty good fighter, who is able to make you look bad
Didn't help promote the Mayweather fight too much, although thats questionable because Mayweather was coming off the shitty ass Baldomir fight and then broke the PPV record with Oscar.

More good than bad came from this fight, IMO. Oscar's good pace, over the 12 is vital for any chance against Mayweather. That he did this @ 150 is a good result, I believe.

i thought forbes defense was real good, alot of the punches oscar threw (the ones in combination) were either slipped or blocked

oscar did land the jab at will however
