Mayweather-DLH 2 is the biggest fight to be made, just not the best fight to be made.

In terms of money it's #1 but in terms of quality?

    :flip: this rematch

Not really, not like Floyd dominated DLH or anything. DLH just beat someone who he was supposed to beat, nothing impressive at all. DLH Floyd should have no demand now at all. It just shows that we will get pretty much the same result.

    great post.

Forbes has fast hands and is durable, Oscar looked fine for being old in against someone who at least fights remotely like Floyd

May be but ironicially Oscar has made more money in his last 2 fights than prob every ufc fighter put together.
The UFC is screwing the hell out of their fighters and it is only a matter of time until they tell them to fuck off.
UFC may sell more PPV's but boxing clearly generates more money as a whole.

I recently read an article that UFC is getting better at paying their fighters.

They get a low base flat amount, then they could win performance base bonuses. Plus they are getting good endorsements off the popularity of MMA.

    Totally agreed.

And it's ridiculous how some could think he looked good tonight. DLH looked like an old man. And he was in there with a guy like Stevie Forbes. He's lost considerable speed, reflex and movement. He's lost power and snap in his punches too. And we all know about his stamina problems that's even gotten worse with age. He was able to fight hard to the end only because Forbes nowhere near resembled a KO threat even via accumulation. Not so against Floyd. He's way more hittable now. His durability is still ok, but I see Mayweather asserting himself more in the rematch, breaking him down and possibly stopping him late with hard, compact, precision punches.

I dont give a toss about either one of these parasitical fuckwits, the only thing I'll ever say about either piece of shit will be 100% hate and completely irrelevant to thier second jackpot fight, where you put your money in, and celebrate the spirit of capitalism,..this very essence is what's GUTTED the precarious collapse of America as a country (on a broader scale ofcourse), these pair of feinds are truelly IRRELEVANT to the welterweight division, which should be the focus for real boxing fans, as it's fighters are living in the same world as we are, for now.

Anyone who talks about 'Dlh - Fraud 2' :shit: :shit: :shit: :shit: :shit:  should be banned for harming themselves.

Hypothetically if Oscar showed up in drag and stretched little Floyd, do you think Roger would do like Clark Kent when he turns to superman.... and go get his mexican killing outfit he wore when he was a fighter? His sombrero and stuff. He showed a willingness to choke Judah so I think this would be possible.

De la Hoya has been done at elite level for some time: he's a part time boxer looking to make as much green as he possibly can. Christ, he'd have been retired an age ago if he didn't have Floyd to milk (again), and for Oscar, that fight is a practically risk free proposition. He knows Floyd can't very likely stop him, because he's too small in comparison to him, and even in the unlikely event that he does, he'll still make fucking millions for his time.

I wouldn't pay a penny to watch Oscar fight now- he doesn't need any more money and to be brutally honest, unless other people follow suit and stop buying this garbage then we'll continue to be 'treated' to the sight of the Golden Tranny parading what's left of wares to the world, without care nor consideration for what was a terrific legacy.

And who the hell wants to see that? :dunno:

^^^Oscar's last good win was against Fernando Vargas, and how long ago was that??...

In recent times, Oscar's best win has been Mayorga, and Roy's best win was Trinidad.. I don't know but Trinidad did beat Mayorga.

Anyway, what I don't get is how anyone on this board could praise Oscar's performance. He looked absolutely HORRIBLE..

His timing is off on his punches. The snap is gone. Reflexes are shot. Stamina is still bad, and his skin busts up more than ever and he gets hit more than ever on top of that.

And this was against a blown up guy who is not a great fighter. What do you guys think Cotto do??.. Mayweather??...

Lets get real here, please gentlemen. Oscar is DONE.. Has been ever since the Felix Sturm fight. Its well overdue for him to retire already.

That's like proudly proclaiming yourself the tallest dwarf in the world, bro.

Roy is even more shot than Oscar, and a win against a shot, retired, blown up Tito Trinidad should not (though in some eyes it does) be allowed to disguise that fact.

Oscar is done at the elite level? He sure as hell did better against THE elite fighter, than Ricky Hatton did. He done too? Besides, who's actually ever beaten De La Hoya? Great fighters. No less.

This rematch sucks, but don't even try to argue that Oscar isn't still an elite fighter himself. There are VERY few fighters in the world who could beat him. Even today.

Depends on your Definition of "Elite"...

REED Thinks it Relates to Lb 4 Lb ish Fighters...The TOP 15-20 Guys R what REED Would Consider "Elite"...Maybe Even JUST the TOP 10-12...N ANY Sport or Profession "Elite" Guys R N the MINORITY...There AIN'T Many of 'em Out There...

& There's PLENTY Of Guys Wearing Title Belts that REED WOULDN'T Consider "Elite"...

Is DeLa Capable of WINNING Another World Title???...Absolutely, Depending on WHO he Fights...But REED WOULDN'T Consider him an "Elite" Fighter...

its hypocrisy for someone to claim Roy can compete with Calzaghe and then shit on Oscar since he's the one whose given Floyd his closest fight in awhile.

Prime for prime Roy was obviously a better fighter than ODLH. Now? let's be realistic, ODLH is better than Roy. he was competitive with Floyd while Jones wasn't competitive with a guy like Glenn Johnson and got smashed. Since then Roy hasn't done anything else to make me think much of him.
