No, i don't think it will happen. In fact i think Mayweather will win even more convincingly in a rematch.

    But what if?

What would that do for De La Hoya's legacy?

With the wack judge who scored the first fight for Oscar, he may definitely win:doh:

Oscar has shit stamina and poor footwork, if he wins the rematch his legacy will be that he is the first person in history to knock an opponent out with a shot to the spine, because that illegal shoulder roll shit takes both head and body shots out of the equation.

So do you think it would put him up there with the Robinsons and Leonards', or do some of the controversial decisions in his career still hold him back?

Has to, because he beat Shane and Tito despite what the record says. Leanard has controversy too.

It would put him up with Floyd, Hopkins and Jones as the best of his generation, IMO. Be a huge win.

If he managed to pull it out legitimately, then yes he would be one of the very best of his generation.

At 35 and after losing to floyd the first time, it would be a massive win.

I think there's a chance DLH can win a decision, which isn't exactly the same thing as beating Mayweather.

Not sure he can do that.

If he can win 3-4 rounds relatively clearly, and make 3-4 more close, they might just give him the decision.

It's not out of the realm of possibility, given that the first fight was close (7-5 in my opinion).

If it is close, I know I wouldn't want to have bet on Mayweather and have sweat it out before the scorecards are read.

If it wasn't close you would still have to sweat it out like last time. I had PBF up 9-3 and DLH won a card.

Well, I disagree with Mayweather winning 9 rounds, but I agree this is a fight to avoid betting on.

DLH may not have to fight better if he can find ways to fight "smarter" - i.e. fight to win points -that he didn't do in the first fight.

He just made it way to easy to score the second half of the fight for Mayweather.

I had the same score as you, 7 to 5.

Oscar didn't win it, but it was a close fight no doubt, I can't believe some people think Floyd dominated oscar and won 9 rounds etc.

If Oscar beat Floyd it would probably be the biggest upset of this year, last year and almost any other year all the way back to Douglas-Tyson.

This version of Oscar has almost no chance of beating Floyd. He is too old and too declined.

I'd back up your claims and state how he has been on the decline and I'd make up stories about how I heard he was sick

I don't know what it will do to Delahoya's legacy because the haters will probably say PBF is a natural 130 fighter but I will be partying like a motherfucker for sure!:cheer:
