Nate Campbell puts Richard Schaefer on Blast!! Damn!!

Let's stop right here for a minute. Where, outside of Houston (if even there), is Diaz a draw? Certainly not in Chicago - his unification fight with Diaz cost everyone involved a lot of money. The HBO ratings were nothing that had the network wanting to fork over truckloads of cash for his next fight.

Why do you think Willie had to fight tooth and nail with King just to get him to honor mandatory minimum purses? King was tired of tossing good money on a bad product, which Diaz - from a marketing standpoint - was. Sad to say, as he had the right image and is fun to watch. But a major draw, he is not. Not the extremes you're trying to sell.

I don't disagree with what you say about Nate, but the truth of the matter is, in every release and interview he's conducted since beating Juan's ass, there isn't a single word he's spit that isn't true.

Funny, when Juan was in the exact same role last year, it was Casamayor who was in the wrong, avoiding your boy like the plague (which he was). That Casa's "title" was worthless, and that Juan was the true champion.

Now that the roles are reversed, it's suddenly smart business and Golden Boy is in the right to freeze out Nate, who proved himself IN THE RING.

It can be sold any way you, Juan, Willie or whoever choose to sling it. In the end, it's all a bunch of excuses, and I say God bless Nate Campbell for being one of the few willing to stand up and call out Golden Boy on their bullshit.

Nate fought the fight of his life, but has no marquee value whatsoever, and that is too bad as he is quite a character.
Did you see him in gthe ring after Casamayor iced Katsidis screaming and trying to get his face on camera after the fight in order to try to make a few bucks with Joel?
You can't help but like the guy as he has paid his dues, though.
Today is what counts however Jake, and I am sure Golden Boy and Team Diaz wish Nate well as they respect him as a fine fighter I am sure.

Thats a good thing that Nate got in his face. That makes people want to see a fight. Make himself more marketable. Considering Joel has the "linear" title that should be the fight that happens anyway.

Unfortunately, until Casamayor is beaten he is the linear Champ. He sure as hell isn't the best at LW and he certainly is doing everything he can to avoid Nate Campbell, the true best fighter at LW at this time.

When Juan Diaz beats up Casamayor you will know this.
