First off kudos for Williams for getting right back in there with Quintana.

Quintana finally signed the contract and this fight is a go. June 7 on Showtime.

Can Williams fight a smarter/better fight this time?

Or is Quintana just a bad match up for him that would beat him everytime?

Yes, I know Williams isn't the quickest guy around but he looked like he was slogging around in mud vs. Quintana. I think he will make a couple of adjustments to slow Quintana down a bit.

Quintana's a BAD Matchup for Williams...His COUNTERPUNCHING, HANDSPEED, FLUIDITY & ATHLETICISM will Always Present Problems for Williams...

Williams CAN Win, but he's Got to JAB More & Basically OCCUPY Quintana w/Activity...

N the Last Fight, Quintana's Counterpunching SEVERELY Affected Williams' Punchrate...So If Williams ACCEPTS that he's GOING to Get Hit & Focuses on OUTLANDING Quintana, he Can Take a Close Decision...

Personally, REED Thinks Quintana would Win 7 Out of 10 Times...

I'm not a fan of Paul's, but I think you all have your finger on the panic button here. Quintana is a bad matchup for Williams', but Paul is still the better fighter. Quintana was a last minute replacement the first time they fought, and I truly think Paul was looking past him. Also, he had a horrible time making weight. The more difficult it is to make 147 is directly proportional to how difficult the fight will be for him.

A couple of things to be aware of:

    1) Quintanna is a lot better then people think. When he lost to Cotto he sort of got put on a different list but his fight before Cotto he outboxed a real strong boxer and his fundamentals are solid.

    2) Williams is not as polished.... not as "along" as Quintanna. Williams needs work on the fundamentals a bit more. People are sold on this kid's approach, but they are negelecting to look at his strength, his technical polish and other things tht have not been neglected with Quintarra.

I think Williams could do a better job if he is capable at refining his skills. He still has the physical gifts to beat Quintanna but he needs to get stronger physically, shorten and put more weight behind his punches, and counter punch better. He needs to forget the 1,000 punches per a round approach and make his punches count. Get more leverage on his shots... Watch Tommy Hearns to learn how to punch like a stringbean from hell.

Yes he has a chance. If he can really use his physical advantage, he could keep Quintana at bay but I seriously doubt it. Williams doesn't fight as tall as he could and his jab isn't all that. I think the most likely outcome is another decision loss. If what Fade To Black said is true, then he might surprise me.

Williams has ZERO SHOT in beating Quintana. I think Carlos is going to stop Williams in the rematch! Here is the latest news from Quintana's camp!

This is the third week in Quintana's training camps for the Williams fight. Quintana agreed to accept $400,000 for this fight against Williams.

"We are in the hardest part of training, working on his phisical condition. In the first fight we had an amazing condition and this time we want to improve on that" BONILLA

"Our goal is to get rid of this guy (Williams) and make him not to even want to look at Puerto Rico again." BONILLA

"Fights are won in the gym and the great thing is that Quintana is a very dedicated fighter who trains hard. We have brought in the same sparring partners for the last fight and we are confident we will be victorious" BONILLA

    WAR QUINTANA!!!

Who would have thought Quintana's training camp would have positive things to say about Quintana?! Amazing!

How ridiculous would it sound if this same release came out of Paul Williams camp and you changed the word Puerto Rico to Georgia. :nono:

Yeah, it's good to see Quintana is actually "training" for this fight. I know he'll win now because Williams is known for being such a slouch in his own training camps.

Quintana has the Roy Jones quality of not even trying to end a fight.

Williams would welcome Quintana trying to knock him out. He would have to stand more flat footed and give Williams a better chance of getting off a high punch output.

Let me tell you something right now! Let's get 1 things straight! The only reason Williams even won 1 round was because Quintana got tired down the stretch! The style match up here is all wrong for the exposed Williams!

Not enough posters on these boards to go banning people, but I will take the year sig/av bet. I've already made a bet with Joe King so if you win I will take your sig/av after two weeks with Joe King's. Deal?

Wow. Quintana is making the same amount of cash to fight Williams that Forbes made to fight De La Hoya. Who would have thought.

I don't know why, I pictured you saying this in a Charlie Zelenoff-esque manner.

    "Wassup bitchesss???"
