I agree. I'm simply saying that Merchant's scorecard is just as irrelevant.

It's no more irrelevent than Kellerman's or media scorecards written in columns.

It's an opinion/view of a fight...just as the rest of the crew offers, and since he states it's just an opinion, I don't have a problem with it.

I think Lampley and Kellerman show far more bias during fights than he does.

Frankly, there's a lot of fights where his scorecard seems far more in line with what's happened in the ring than Lederman's.

Lederman has had too many bad scorecards, IMO, for it to stand alone during a broadcast, and they're not getting rid of Lederman so I dont have much of a problem with it.

REED Doesn't Know the Details (REED was in High School Back Then:lol: ), but Merchant Seemed to HATE the Level of "Control" Don King Had Over Mike & Don Recognized that...So If the Line of Questioning Got to a Level King Wasn't Comfortable w/, he'd Convince Mike to END a Particular Interview OR he'd HIJACK The Interview Himself...

Merchant's NEVER Been Terribly Fond of "Inner City" Guys & Tyson & King Played that Card MORE than Most...As Faaaaaaar Back as the LATE 80's, Merchant was Bitching about "Posse's" and "Rap Music"...Don MILKED that into a Full Fledged WEDGE btwn Merchant & Tyson...

The SINGLE Reason Tyson Fought on SHOWTIME Upon Leaving Prison was Cause Larry Merchant was on HBO...Don King WANTED Merchant GONE, but the Network Stood by Him...So he Took Tyson to Showtime...

But when Tyson FINALLY DID Fight on HBO Again (vs. Lennox), Merchant WASN'T a Part of the Live Broadcast...

The HATRED was btwn King & Merchant & Mike was just a PAWN N the Game...

That whole situation was a joke, where they split the HBO and Showtime crews, with Lampley and Czyz on the live call...though for the most part I did like Czyz as an announcer.

 agreed. I thought I didn't like Larry til he left then I really missed him. He is a smart guy who chooses to be drunk most of the time and thats ok. He knows the game.

Let me tell you something, Teddy Atlas was a good announcer, but could he do it with asthma?
