Tarver pricing himself out of a Dawson fight?

According to an ESPN writer:

"I have been hearing that Tarver is pricing himself out. If that is true, I would not be surprised one iota."

 

Not sure why he would do that. Dawson definitely looked beatable against Johnson, and it's currently the biggest fight out there for Tarver. Unless he is looking at a possible matchup with Byrd.

 

If he asks for a dollar, he's overpricing himself.

 

perhaps tarver is waiting to see how byrd looks against george this friday.

Tarver is running around calling himself the unified LHW champion and why wouldn't he price himself out? It's obvious he thinks he worth far more than he actually is. He's worse than Winky ever was in terms of overrating his value.

Like seemingly everyone, he'd like to fight Calzaghe but I'm not sure Warren even mentions his name. It isn't on the radar.

Honestly, if this fight doesn't get made I wouldn't mind seeing Tarver and Johnson go back at it.
