Why? George isn't really that good, Johnson beats his ass.

According to Joe King, Shaun George is the devil, since he beat-up a fellow christian in Chris Byrd. Now God is sending via prophecy his angel of death, a jamaican ugly perennial underdog named Glenn Johnson, to make justice and bring the balance into the world by beating Shaun George......who is the devil.....according to Joe King....got it? :dunno:

I find it weid that everyone says George isn't good and discredicts the mans win against a former World Champion. Everyone picks his fight plan apart and everything. First of all "win ugly and you still; win!". He's not that good? Goto the tape. George and Dawson have the same style of fighting. Only Dawson is held at higher reguard, and is south-paw. The same fight plan Dawson used against Johnson was used in Byrd/George ; only Shaun had better defense and won by KO. If Shaun KO's Glen what have we found out? Things that make you say HUMMMM....

    ......

Byrd was shot to shit. Let's be honest here. George got smashed up by Matt Godfrey real early and lost a decision to Alexander Gurov. It's not like because he beat a shot Chris Byrd that he became a great fighter.

yeah but the Johnson fight was the one time where the majority of viewers were critical of Dawson.

George gets credit since most were picking against him, but he was handpicked for a reason. I'm not saying he's a scrub, because he's far from it. But he's not too far removed from ordinary, and wasn't exactly a blaze of fire in there. Byrd was a dead man walking, and Tommy Brooks STILL had to get in George's shit in order for him to let his hands go.

I wasn't. I said I'd wait until I saw Byrds reaction to the weight loss. 3 or 4 versions of the Zab Judah Dance later, and we had our answer. I didn't know the first thing about Shaun George, I just knew that a 6'2" heavyweight dropping 40lbs to make Lt-Hvy was not a good idea, at all.

I think Dawson is probably the best fighter at 175 right now.......but I would like to see Erdei get the fuck OUT of Germany and over to the USA. 175 is actually in a greater state of flux right now than Heavyweight. Woods just lost, Johnson was robbed, again, Erdei can fight but won't fight, and Adamek just cleared off to Cruiser, with Hopkins losing to 168'r and 175 newbie Joe Calzaghe.

But oddly enough, nobody seems bothered about this.

Who said that George is a great fighter???? I didn't imply that. I'd just like to see him fight Glen Johnson because it's an action fight.
