Samuel Peter will fight Matt Skelton or Audley Harrison on July 12

Frank Warren told the British press he's agreed to terms with Don King for Samuel Peter to fight at the 02 Arena in London on July 12, against either Matt Skelton or Audley Harrison.

 

Peter is a fat deluded shithead. This guy actually thinks he is the man at Heavyweight.

I do think it's probably a good location for this fight in London. I'd expect a significantly better turnout for it than if it were in the states.

 

Of course......but Skelton JUST HAD a shot at the title FFS...and he lost. This asshole {Sam Peter} is adding fuel to the flames that suggest that the Heavyweight division is at its "lowest ebb ever" {which of course it isn't}....Peter talks all this shit about Klitschko then he nearly gets KTFO by Decline, fights a criminally shot Maskaev, looks like 250lbs of warmed up treacle and then he fucks off to England to fight SKelton or Harrisson???:doh:

Why doesn't he fight David Haye?:crafty: Or Povetkin??

Won't happen. Skelton is the worst British contender for the heavyweight title since Brian London and Richard Dunn. He fought a comebacking Chagaev and was blowing harder towards the end than a gale. He carries more flab than your average housewife and just can't fight.

He has a chin and desire, thats about it.

I haven't seen the Chagaev fight, but if his conditioning was as bad as you describe it's probably still better than Peter's.

If it absolutely, positively has to be one of these two, it should at least be Skelton. Both are pretty shit, but Audley is substantially worse. And at least Skelton knows he's limited; Harrison actually still rates himself...:doh:

Haye vs Peter would be an EXCELLENT fight for Haye to take. I think Peter would be too baleful and persistent for David to stomach but if Haye is as good as he says he is then it should be easy- he won't have the strength to tie him up like Klitschko did but he can wobble him with the sort of cute shots that McCline did.

If I had to put money on it I would say Peter to grind the guy down and just be too persistent- that and the fact that Haye is not a particularly smart measured fighter.

He'll probably wait for Peter to have another off night and then fight whoever beats him.

 

if Harrison gets this fight, he won't be able to believe his luck. He's blown it so many times, and he might have a chance to turn it all around in one fight......saying that, he'll get knocked out by the first punch Peter either lands or misses......which is a little worse than how Skelton would fair


on the subject of setanta.....Rawling - gets names/facts wrong a lot, Bunce - i like him. His views are strong, and are often overboard, but i'd take that over the fence-sitting mundanity of 95% of sport pundits, Woodhall - Good co-commentator, good technical insight but recently his scoring of fights has been baffling with a hint of bias.

 

Bunce comes out with some absolute fucking shit sometimes, thinking hamed would beat Floyd is a prime example.
