tough fight to call but i think William's willingness to fight inside would get him in trouble against a murderous puncher like Lopez. and although Lopez work-rate was never very good, he put punches together very well. I think I'd bet on Lopez to knock Williams out.

Some good points, but let's not forget Williams has proven to have a very good chin so far. Margarito doesn't hit as hard as Lopez did, but he certainly hit Williams many more times than Lopez would be able to. Margarito isn't pillow fisted either.

It seems like one of those fights that can end in one of two ways. Either Lopez by KO or Williams be decision.

I just feel more comfortable betting on a Williams decision than lazy ass Lopez landing enough big bombs to take his man out.

Quartey had supposedly the best chin in boxing before he fought Lopez. But one good right, left combo from JL and Ike was nearly out. Lopez hit like a sonuvabitch. He had more power than any welter of the last 15 years NOT named Tito. Well its arguable that Cintron has as much raw power, but Lopez was far more accurate, and better at putting together combos than Kermit the fraud.

We've never really seen Williams up against a real KO puncher (like Lopez), but I'd still favor Williams' workrate and boxing ability over Lopez's lazy, tentative ass.

If you were a good fighter who could punch for 12 rounds and take a good enough shot, you beat Jose Luis Lopez 99 times out of 100.

Williams wins a decision, with a few scary moments thrown in. Nobody beat JLL without having their chin checked along the way.
