Yeah, but if you were sitting on a Mexican gold mine at the same time Golden Boy Promotions is becoming a monopoly in the sport, you wouldn't be in a rush to move his career too fast, either. He's over a third of the way to 100 wins. ::
Well, he's had some tough outings even against lesser known guys like Sanchez and Celaya but he is progressing his level of opposition gradually. I don't really have a problem with him because I'm not paying money to watch him fight. He's been a Telefutura fighter and a pay per view add-on for much of his career and I haven't paid for any of his ppv main events, so he can go at any pace he wants to, IMO. He's not taking up HBO and Showtime dates.
Is he good? Most of Chavez's recent comp have been decent as of the last year. Before that they were just punching bags.
He's not great. He was of some note a few years ago because he was drawing some attention in Minnesota back when he was undefeated but then got a gift over Sam Garr and lost Armando Velardez on Shobox. I don't think it's a bad opponent for Junior at this point of his career. One he'll probably look good against, because he shouldn't have to look to hard to find him.
But he does take up some ppv undercard spots..better fight could be take place..but the promoters don't care about making good matchups so they throw Jr in there..but THATS OKAY though...better him than nothing. Maybe they build up JCC jr..get enough hype behind him..and set up a BIG FIGHT vs. one of the 147 guys...hopefully vs. Cotto or Quintana...and FINALLY WE,US,I, WILL HAVE OUR REVENGE...WE WILL TAKE YEARS AND YEARS OF BEATDOWN IN THE HANDS OF CHAVEZ SR...on his pimple face son JR....YES!!! YES!! SI SE PUEDE!!!!!:mj::mj::crafty:
