    Which body type are you?

I've heard that Mesomorphs (stocky) body types are less prone to injury and develop muscle and strength much more easily and faster than Ectomorphs (Hakeem Olajuwon).

Ectomorphs usually have thin builds and are more agile because of it.

There's three main types: endomorph, ectomorph, and mesomorph.

People are usually a combination of the two: I'm an endo-mesomorph. Lots of muscle but I tend to get lumpy if I don't work out regularly. :dunno:

Endomorphs, pure endomorphs, are fat or even obese. Roseanne Barr.

Mesomorphs are solid muscle. Think Lou Ferrigno.

    Ectomorphs...think about marathon runners.

TBH, I really think it's irrelevant. Just decide what you wanna train towards and do it. Everything else is extraneous.

As it happens Im probably slightly towards the ectomorph side of things, having quite skinny wrists and ankles. But Im a solid 175lb from training and in a year I'll be an even stronger more solid 175, so who gives a shit? It's just another limitation people put on themselves. Or more to the point another limitation put into people's minds by so called experts who want you to believe getting into shape is so complex that you need their help to manage it.

It really can be a limiting factor for some people. If they view themselves in one particular bodytype, they might subconsciously accept it even though they might want to change.

Myself, right now, I find myself going easy on the weights and doing more cardio to get ready for hockey season and also for the chore of chasing my son around the house when he starts to walk. He started trying to crawl yesterday and he actually got up to do it.

So the time for me to get my training in is whenever he and my wife are either asleep or trying to sleep in. Nights are getting busier.

Hello, Punkster. How goes it? I don't go to the other site during the day, but I'm sure it'll be hopping tonight. Looks like the Bald Wonder has decided to stop begging for my attention, eh?

He's 11 weeks. He tried to crawl, but he wasn't exactly getting anywhere yet. As for him having a girlfriend, not yet, but prospects are promising. We had an All-Staff meeting yesterday and a colleague brought in his little girl. She was 3 weeks older than my son and very cute and quiet.

My son started getting fussy because he got his vaccinations the day before. When he started getting fussy, the little girl reached out and touched his arm. My son's got game already!
