This looks bad for Page. http://www.tmz.com/2008/07/15/cops-say-jackson-went-on-rampage-chat/ Cops Say Jackson Went On Rampage Posted Jul 15th 2008 6:56PM by TMZ Staff Former UFC heavyweight champ Rampage Jackson got busted just minutes ago, and is currently in custody on the way to the clink, but not before he was ordering on the ground, cops nearby with guns drawn. Law enforcement sources tell us, Rampage was in a car crash near Newport Beach (that's near Laguna Beach in the O.C.) and then split the scene. Cops gave chase and eventually caught up and charged him with felony hit and run and felony evading arrest. Here's the deal about the dumbest hit and run ever. Notice the truck he tried evading police in -- the one with the giant picture of him plastered on the side! We're told there could be additional charges. No word yet on whether Rampage resisted arrest. Bad week. He got his ass handed to him last week (courtesy of Forrest Griffin) and just got it handed to him again. Wow that sucks, I really like Rampage. Why the hell would he flee like that? I bet he was wasted. Dumb move by Rampage.
very bizarre incident. he wasn;t charged with a DUI he wasnt even drunk? not that it would make it better or anything but it may explain it somewhat. i don't even know how to respond to this. dude's gotta go to federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison for this unless he ends up cell mates in the padded room with Ibeabuchi down Californee way.
Jackson was ordered by police the next day to go too the hospital for mental evaluation after showing signs of odd behavior.
I knew there had to be a reason he lost a disputed decision against Griffen, he is having mental problems.
Rumour is that Jackson had been awake for 4 days and drinking nothing but water and energy drinks before the incident occured. If he was awake literally for 4 days, there's a good chance he could've suffered from brain damage.
