Boxing techniue has not developed. You just need to look for the crrect things on that awesome display of skill
Greb was only stopped a couple times out of 299 fights :dunno: and not sure what footage of Hearns against a lightweight and welterweight has to do with him fighting a middleweight (the division where he was ko'd in 3 rounds twice) :dunno: Greb KO 3
I can't think of any boxing techniques that exist today that didn't exist in 1920. And one of those two times was when he had a broken arm, after he'd spent a full round trying to knock the guy out with his good arm. Greb got into the ring with heavyweights, and he didn't box and run; he swarmed straight at them, eating their best punches to land up to three or four of his own. I can't think of any way Hearns could win this matchup, and Steve Dave is an idiot for even starting this topic.
That is just stupid. That's like saying that since running has existed in 1920, the runners back then were as fast as they are now. You can do the same things better. then again, you have probably never seen Hearns fight
Boxing and sprinting are about as different as you can get. In my experience boxing is less about the actual techniques and more about control of range, being relaxed in the ring, being able to read your opponent. Give me a fighter who spars constantly, fights 30 times a year & grew up so tough that getting hit in the face is NOTHING over a guy with all the modern training techniques in the world.
