Technically no because Paul Williams beat him, whereas Baldomir was 'The champ' ....Margarito has never been 'The champ' ...when he finally does become the champ, maybe he'll be worth Floyd's time.

We don't generally get the 'pleasure' of the US commentators when they show big fights from the States in the UK (Setanta tend to use their own) but we had the full host of asslickers, sycophants and bullshitters presented for our delectation last night.

They were shocking. As you point out, all they could say was how clean, accurate, fast and crisp Cotto's punches were compared to Antonio, then after every round he went back to his stool with fresh, bloody wounds appearing on his face :atu:

Cotto didn't quit, he was STOPPED.

When a fighter is beatdown, where he has nothing left, he doesn't quit, he simply stops. Cotto was physically , mentally SPENT from all Margarito's PRESSURE.

And Margarito is MILES ahead of Baldomir. The latter would have been schooled by Cotto. It wuld have been a boxing CLINIC.

I honestly think he's having a massive orgasm since the fight ended, he finally got it right.
