MARGARITO DISSES SHANE, ZAB, AND FLOYD

    When asked what he thought he could do different than Mosley or Judah, Margarito stated: "I feel that I will be pressuring him a lot more. I have a lot more power and I can do a lot more things as far as power is concerned. And I know I have a bigger heart than both of those guys combined."

    When asked if he felt Mayweather Jr. will be watching this weekend's highly anticipated match-up, Maragrito stated: "I am sure he’ll be watching. He will want to see how real fighters fight."

    Margarito added: "I am sure there will be a lot of guys that haven’t wanted to fight either one of us that will be watching."


    The nerve of this guy. Zab and maybe Floyd had it coming but to diss Shane and say he has more heart than Shane? Ridiculous. He hasn't faced or dealt with nearly the adversity Shane has. We'll see how much heart he has when Cotto is banging his body bloody. If he hangs in there or wins, I'll give him props but he really shouldn't be talking shit before the fight, it tends to be bad luck at times.

    Interesting that he keeps talking about his power. That's not going to win him the fight, he's not really a big puncher. For his sake he better not be relying on that.

I'd select Miguel Cotto's .. "Shane will be an easier fight than Zab" as the more insulting,.. but because of your Margarito hatred,... you let it slip comparitively...:nono: lib four lib please,..

    :boohoo:if the fighter himself doesn't believe he is the best in the world then why the hell should he be fighting at all? Fighters need confidence and they need to make noise to make fights happen. There is nothing weird here

    Well maybe Margarito should talk a whole lot of 'offensive' shit for 24 hours straight so that he can achieve the kind of blurring immunity that most American fighters recieve, or better yet, condition his fans into applauding indecency as humorous?.

    and yet, somehow, neither Mosley, Judah or PBF have been willing to fight Margarito. I think that's where his ill-will stems - the fact that up until now he's been pretty much shut out of big fights, despite the obvious threat he poses to all of those fighters.

    can you imagine Hatton vs. Margarito? what a massacure that would be. or Judah/Margarito? it'd be a no contest.

    i'd be bitter too if i were Margarito.

    Cotto fights a glass-jawed Judah and an over the hill Mosley. But Margarito has to fight a stinker like Clottey and Paul Williams to get on TV.

    Margarito's accomplishments (i.e. his opposition) are hugely underrated - hence the completely ridiculous notion that he never did anything to deserve a shot at those guys. Yeah right. Only thing he did was demonstrate that he'd most likely beat them all.

    Floyd retired - and backed away from easy work worth $30 million because he was scared of a guy he wasn't fighting.

    He could've secured a very lucrative fight with either Cotto or Margarito, not to mention ODH. Instead, he chose to retire? At this point, I think it's safe to say that his, "if it don't make money it don't make sense" excuse is pretty flimsy.

    Instead it's, "if I can't easily win the fight I ain't taking it....."

    And before you cite his KO of Hatton (easy fight for him), or his win over ODH, consider that he had a lot more trouble with ODH (lost to him in the eyes of many) than he expected. And my guess is he would've lost the rematch even if it had been an exact replica of the first fight (he would not have gotten the decision).

    First of all you should read more carefully. I clearly said Zab and maybe Floyd had it coming.

    As for Cotto's comment, I'm about 99% sure I commented on that back when it was first said. Also I don't hate Margarito. I don't like him but I don't hate him either.

    Margarito talks enough shit just complaining about nobody fighting him. No need for him to come off as a liar by distorting facts and saying shit like he has more heart than Shane.
