According to Mike Marley. That could be a good situation for Cintron to rebuild and regroup what he can from loss number two.
George is alright, he could probably hold his own with the lower half of the light-heavyweight top 10.....he'll be the undergo against Johnson though Cintron is a tough one....Margarito has his number, so his potential success at welterweight is restricted.....at light middle, he wont enjoy such a size advantage.....still, big fights at welterweight, and i'd still give him a chance in some of those......he'd be a live underdog
Dibella picked up Bailey too. Hopefully both fighters can re-ignite the brodway boxing series. Give Cintron two or three fights on that circuit then put him in there with Berto!
well, if Cintron can get back on the winning track, perhaps he and cotto can fight at the garden sometime early next year. if i were dibella, i'd put kermit in against some bums on his broadway series. i'm surprised bailey is still around. i thought he was done after the cotto loss. he would've gotten the nod vs. herman njosdfsoijsf if it was in florida. i'd like to see him fight juan urango.
I can certainly see it happening. Cintron will probably get a few rehab assignments and then have some kind of mid-level HBO fight next year.
According to Rick Reeno, Cintron's first fight back will come against former junior welter belt holder Lovemore Ndou on the Jermain Taylor-Jeff Lacy card and will replace Manny Steward with Ronnie Shields.
I think that is a decent comeback fight.......despite the obvious size differential, Ndou always comes to win.....he's just coming off a very close world title challenge vs Mallinaggi.......if Cintron can't get him out of there early on, it could become a very tough fight for him .....so this is at Welterweight right?
It is true, I am the one who told Reeno. Cintron left back for home yesterday after being in Houston for a 2 day trial with Ronnie and they got along very good. I think this will be good for Kermit but I will tell you that imho Ndou will be no walk in the park.
