I like the "incompetence or corruption" line and have used it before...Eugenia Williams comes to mind, but Teddy Atlas can suck my dick using it here. . Incompetent? How the fuck, excuse me, how the FUCK does he believe that you can get 5 judges who cannot score for almost every fight? Corruption? Give me a fucking break. ALL of the scoring is fucked up in this Olympics. This isn't corruption or incompetence, it is a change. It's either a mandated change given to the judges or a result of another change. I've already put forth a guess that it has to do with the oversight looking for corruption that has made the judges afraid to pull the trigger. Go look at scoring from 2000, from 2004, from the 2007 world championships. Notice the punch totals and you'll see RSC-OS (20 pts ahead), you'll see punch totals in the 30's. Now we are lucky to break 20 in this Olympics. Whatever is going on, Teddy Atlas isn't the guy to figure it out, much like he doesn't get boxing commissions or sanctioning bodies.
Amen. Teddy Atlas is a neanderthal. Actually, that is an insult to them. I really detest him. He is all mouth and no brain. Besides, this asshole is constantly making moral judgements. I read his autobiography. He nothing more than a fake ass tough guy who got lucky and found his way to an announcing position. He really is little more than a thug and one with not too much brawn or brain, a petty criminal.
