there is a bit of noise in those pictures. They are nice shots I'm just wondering if a little post-production work would make them perfect.

So when are you going to shoot photos for fightbeat?

I was shooting (Nikon D200) 1/400, f/2.8, ISO 800 to 1250 with 1+ EV and the images still came out dark. The lighting was horrible and changed throughout the evening. The fight was held in a small ballroom at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas. I pushed a little in CS3 which is apparent as noise.

    1/500 would be ideal.

Dealing with dark skin in poor lighting is a challenge!

Shooting RAW, the photos ran through noise reduction before Photoshop. I have used Noise Ninja and a few other HR tools but they make things "plasticy".

    What suggestions do you have?

Shoot for FightBeat, what do I need to do?
