I always thought this was a bad style matchup for Frazier. If Frazier survives the early rounds he could win but I have a feeling Louis' accuracy, power and short punching would get the better of him.

Frazier would smoke his ass! Louis was no goddamn Foreman! The Brown China Bomber NEVER faced anyone with the combination of power, speed, and relentlessness that Frazier had. The 69-71 Frazier would give Louis the business in a bad way. Frazier KO 8.

Word. Frazier by death. The two shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence. Frazier smokes China Joe Schmeling style.

Bonavena dropped Frazier twice. Frazier never managed to stop Bonavena. Joe Louis hit harder than Bonavena and wasn't easier to stop. Some people do overrate Louis but you guys here severely underrate him.

Louis could very well stop Frazier early...whose chin, although reasonable, had caused him to get bounced up and down off the canvas at least the 10 times which spring to mind. Frazier was a slow starter and vulnerable early and Joe Louis had fast hands and crippling accurate power.

Both men could stop the other, make no mistake...but as Fortunato said I too agree that this is a bad style matchup for Frazier.
