Guys, Mayorga is looking pretty good. I havent seen Mayorga look like this in a long time. Is this fight @147? Because if thats the case He hasnt been there in years! He looks like shit. When he was "blocking" those punches he looked robotic and old. Shane is going to KILL him to the body when they are in close. Mayorga has a slim punchers chance for about 10 minutes in this fight. But I think he quits on his stool around the 10th or 11th.
Mayorga's going to QUIT when the going gets tough in the middle rounds. Until that point, however..he'd be outworking Shane and giving Mosley alot of difficulty. he problem for Mayorga, however, is that he doesn't have the power to trouble Shane...and without that power Shane's just going to hang in there and murder him with body shots...making his scream like a girl in SPanish.
I don't think Mayorga, thinks he has a chance. He'll be game for a beating, but Sly is right, after a few rounds of it he'll quit. The only, and I mean only chance he has of beating Mosely is to let it all go and be crazy again. Let the haymakers fly and hope one lands. I think Mosely stops him inside 6. You have to give Mayorga credit though. He has got some nice paychecks in his career for pretty much nothing else, but beating Forrest and talking shit. :bears:
Mayorga looks good in this clip?:notallthere: Cmon Hex! I gave Mayorga the benefit of the doubt and predicted Shane TKO11, I'll be changing that to TKO5.
Problem is...he doesn't even have a puncher's chance in this one. He doesn't really hit all that hard. It'll be a fight where Shane is made to work harder than he'd want to but at the end of the day Shane will walk through any fire that Mayorga sends his way and cripple him with bodyshots in return. Mayorga's a quitter...so expect the same in this fight.
That's what I've been saying for years. Other than KOing 6 Heads Lewis who never proved much himself the only thing Mayorga has done was one KO against Forrest. Even in the rematch Mayorga was pretty unimpressive and only won because Forrest was gun shy for the first half of the fight. Forrest pretty much won the 2nd half of the fight when he woke the fuck up and started really trying. Meanwhile everyone and their momma was painting Mayorga as a top fighter giving him a chance against Tito and Oscar.
That is absolutely false. There may have been a few who were hyping mayorga but most people thought he was a bum even after stomping Forrest twice. You can't make comments like that when 7 out of 10 said he was a skilless bum.
Sure I can. It may have been a minority (I certainly would hope so), but it was true. There was a lot of talk about his incredible chin, toughness, power & relentlessness.-There certainly wasn't too much talk about him being a skilless bum, as I remember.
