I'm becoming a big Williams fan because of his willingness to fight the BEST! Reminds me a bit of Tito Trinidad. You have to respect a fighter who's ducks no one! :bears:

I'm sure Pavlik is shitting himself over the way Williams destroyed that mid western bum.

I don't mind williams, but he would get mutilated by Pavlik.

Williams is DELUSIONAL N Regards to Pavlik, but Having Said that, Paul Williams is 1 of THE FEW Fighters that is GENUINELY Willing to Fight ANYbody, ANYwhere, ANYtime...

REED Honestly BELIEVES that Williams Would Fight ANYBODY from 147-160, on a Moment's Notice...

Aren't you a big Margarito guy? Shouldn't you respect anyone who fought him as close as Williams did, win or lose?

Is that why he didn't take the Pavlik fight and fought some bum instead?

Someone remind me how exactly is was Pavlik's fault the fight didn't happen.

Williams has an HBO date in November (I think) so I'll wait and see who he fights before I pass judgment.

Why would Williams Say "Now U See why Pavlik Pulled Out", if Williams was the 1 who DIDN'T Take the Fight???:dunno:...

Obviously, Pavlik ISN'T/WASN'T Afraid of Williams & probably Viewed it as a NO-WIN, Damned if U DO, Damned if U DON'T Situation...But it Appears that the Fight Never Materialized Because of Pavlik's Side of the Negotitions...

    agREED...

If Quintana is WILLING to Take the Fight, then a Condom Match is Only NATURAL...

There's STILL Traces of Doubt as to Who the BETTER Fighter Really is btwn the 2...The BEST Thing Williams Could Do to Close Out 2008 is REMOVE that Shred of Doubt...

I never heard of a contract for this fight being offered to Pavlik. Williams is full of shit. Sure he said Pavlik's name, buut why on earth would Pavlik entertain such an idea even if there WAS a contract? His name is NOT oscar de la hoya.

Whether or not Pavlik entertained the idea, the promoters did, but couldn't get an agreement...and then Arum conveniently swore off doing business with Al Haymon.

Which means a lot more than a Pavlik vs Williams fight. I just don't like Williams talking as if Pavlik ducked him.

Williams should just go ahead and move on up for good and forget about 147 if he thinks he's the man at 160 now.

Look, REED Certainly ISN'T Saying that Pavlik "Ducked" Williams...There was NATHAN to Gain from Pavlik's Perspective, by Taking that Fight...

& REED would Favor Pavlik to STOP Williams by the Middle of the Fight or Earlier...But REED is CONVINCED that Williams WOULD have Gladly Signed the Contract & Been a Part of that Mismatch...

Other than Pavlik, there's NO "Money" Fights @ 160...147's where it's @ Financially...

well, what is williams supposed to do? continue to fight nondescript opponents for some chump change? he has to call out these big names so he can actually make some money in this business. he's smart enough not to call out oscar fully knowing that he's not gonna get that kind of payday anytime soon if ever.

And oh yeah for the record, Pavlik would wipe his ass with Paul, and I dont believe for a second that Pavlik was scared to face Williams. As easy as Williams is to hit, he'd have nary a chance against Pavlik. Its to the benefit of Paul's career that the Pav fight didnt come off.

And much as I HATE to admit this, the smurf Abraham would KO Williams also.
