I was at Blockbuster today and everyone seemed to be going for Zohan and The Guru. How can people watch that garbage?

The Blockbuster crowd is a disgrace, this is why I usually go to a private video store called Select Video. :partie:

Yeah, he really ruined your joke.
And screw you guys anyway man! I've caught the twist in movies before, I'm sure of it. I can't remember any right now, but when I do I'll let you know.

Anyway I don't understand how you guys could know it wasn't Deniro when they made that dumb part that looked like he was confessing to the whole thing.

That part was funny IMO. The movie as a whole was a letdown because I was expecting HEAT type of characters. I think the movie would have been better off with two different actors because of the height of the bar is rasied with these two.

Comedy is supposed to be funny by its very nature. WTF was funny about that movie, besides how stupid it was? Don't even try to sell me that it was an attempt at intentional, unintentional comedy either. Adam Sandler is not that smart.

to me Sandler is hit or miss. I find some of his movies funny and some not so much.

But movies like Zohan have their funny moments. That's what I expect from his movies and that's usually what I get out of them.

It's funny you say Sandler is not smart. His movies seem stupid. Yet he found a formula to get paid more than most talented actors even comedians.

I went to see American Carol tonight. Pretty funny movie with a great message.

I'm sure a lot of people here will hate it for just those reasons.

Kevin Farley's expressions and mannerisms are ridiculously identical to his brother's.

There's no doubt that Sandler is a popular cat. His movies wouldn't still be coming out if that were not the case. My theory is that people are in general, stupid. Stupid people consume stupid products. In copious amounts.

I never saw the Zohan, but Guru was one of the worst career cashouts I've seen in a while. I feel bad for everyone at blockbuster who rents that one.

Funny thing was when I first saw that preview I was like "man that looks lame as shit". My wife and 2 of our friends were like "really? It looks good I want to see it". They actually had me doubting myself at that point. Looks like I was right. The movie turned out just like I thought it would, a piece of shit cashout.

The Wicker Man (2006): I heard people say it was laughably bad, so I watched about half of the movie when it was on HBO. Terrible movie, but I laughed harder during some scenes than I have for many comedies.

if this was all one sentence I'd say "please don't ever write 'funny' and 'zohan' in the same sentence again".

Check the original WICKER MAN (1973) with Christopher Lee. Basically the same story, but 10 times a better film. Too bad this new one is the one people will remember when that title is mentioned.:crying::doh:

The director of the original was unhappy that a remake was taking place and disassociated himself from it.

Good thing, since the remake was so shitty.

It was nominated for five 2006 Golden Raspberry Awards: Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Nicolas Cage), Worst Screenplay, Worst Remake or Rip-off, and Worst Screen Couple (Nicolas Cage and His Bear Suit).

If you only watched half the movie, hopefully it was the second half...as the ending is somewhat satisfying.

    I just watched Step Brothers.

Didn't read any reviews prior to watching it and don't care. I laughed. Alot. Was all I was looking for from it.

    Body of Lies 7.5/10

Not a very original movie, but the storyline was solid and good acting from Leo, Crowe and the dude who looked like Berbatov. Worth a look.
