Back up back up back up back up again, and when the aggresor walks into the fringe of his range, he repeats the process,.. ... is it any wonder why Hopkins opponents workrates are reduced?.. It's nothing special,.. but it suits his 'fans?' .. to say "He makes u fight his fight".. yeah,.. because if u dont come to him there will be no fight.

    what happened in the fight was what i fear would happen....fucking BERNARD HOPKINS is GREAT...hate to say it...but it's true...that old fuck!!!..it wasn't till a few hours before the fight that i started thinking...Hopkins is still bigger/stronger than Pavlik...and those were Pavliks main strength vs. HOpkins...excluding his youth....still went with Pavlik though....

    Hopkins' hooks were pretty important too Sly, but I give you props, nice prediction. I've rarely been more impressed by a fighter than I've been last night, Hopkins is the greatest fighter of his generation.

    You're a mad man for ever thinking such a thing was possible. Hopkins was always going to win this fight. It's a simple matter of styles. He'd beat Pavlik every day of the week and twice on Sunday's./ That overrated one-dimensional kid could never deal with the cagey innovative slick style of the master Executioner.

    you mean if Hopkins came down to 160, rather than getting a guy to move up where he'd be much weaker?


    or do you mean if it had happened years ago? like maybe if Pavlik was fighting the Hopkins of the Eastman fight?

    I don't think Hopkins could have made 160, but with the way Hopkins dominated last night, I have a hard time seing a Pavlik win, under any condition. You may think that weight was a factor in hindsight but Pavlik was a 4-1 favourite, it's not like everything was against him, Hopkins proved a lot of people wrong, he fought brilliantly.

    Pavlik is a HUGE guy. Fighting at 170 wouldn't have hurt him. Besides anyway...because of styles...it wouldn't matter what weight they fought at.
