Since Jones won a belt at heavyweight, can Hopkins do the same?

Jones won the WBA title, beating John Ruiz.
Hopkins is 6'2", can he go up to heavyweight and make history by beating one of the champions too? Maybe go after Valuev's WBA title?

He might struggle from a stamina point of view....any heavyweight is gonna try and make their strength count.....usually Hopkins is doing the hugging, but i think that very tactic would be applied against him

Maybe against Valuev he could work something out,.. but it would be an exhausting task keeping that warm perspiring ogre from leaning on him like a creaking oak,.. those old legs of his will definitely feel that...

Chagaev and Sultan were his best hopes. Now he has none. Even Fat Toney and Ham Peter are too big and not goet style for X

It's not like there's a ton of great cashout options at heavyweight.

The biggest paydays guarantee certain beatings.

Yep, there's no "weak" title holder. At least not weak enough for Hopkins to have a shot.

Hopkins sure as heck can beat two left feet Valuev IMO, and perhaps Vitali as well.

Hopkins schooling Valuev will be unprecedented from a size standpoint as far as victory is concerned, and I sure wish he moves up and tatoos this ungainly, no talent slob.

Hopkins would do a paint job on Ruiz also.

Vitali is completely gassed after 2 rounds, mouth wide open and hands at his waist..disgusting.

    The heavyweights are basically pathetic.

Well, maybe Valuev can beat me, but one thing is for sure..he'd go back to Russia with some sore ribs!

If he's gassed after 2 rounds, how's he still throwing 100+ punches per round thereafter for the duration of the fight? :dunno:
