Why on earth would Lewis come out of retirement to fight Evander???!!! Holyfield to retire in 2009? 46-year-old four-time former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield says he plans to permanently retire from boxing at the end of 2009 according to his hometown paper the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Evander also mentioned a possible fight with WBA champion Nikolai Valuev and stated that representatives of former champ Lennox Lewis had contacted him earlier this week about a possible fight. Holyfield was in court yesterday resolving a child support dispute with the mother of one of his 11 children. All told, the AJ-C reports that Holyfield's child support payments could run as high as $500,000 annually.

Valuev's team was at first saying they knew nothing about a fight with Evander and then later said that they indeed were in talks with Evander for this match. If Lewis came back, a good starting point would be to beat up old man Holyfield. I'm sure he wouldn't just jump in the ring with Vitali, which is THE fight he would be coming back for.
Yeah, he's not a gatekeeper at all. Just an easy win to shake the rust. Tune up is more like it. Damn you Canadians and your Zed!

I hope the bastard maker never retires. I love watching him get beat up. I will never tire of it. I love watching the hideous Gargoyle getting smashed.
